I think I'll start with what makes mes happy: hearing my kids laugh, being near the ocean, hanging out with friends and family...bar-b-q's are the BEST! I LOVE listening to music, mostly R&B and Neo-Soul, some hip-hop...but I enjoy live music of all kinds. I consider myself to be pretty easy going and laid back. I'm an open person and can be pretty direct...so I prefer for the guy that I'm dating to also be direct...I don't have the time or energy for games (and yes, men DO play games;-) lol...so please, if we talk, go out, etc...speak up and don't beat around the bush about things...we're all adults here! I'm independent and take care of my kids...so I am not looking to be taken care of...if you want a "gold-digger" or someone who is artificial, you're on the wrong page;-) Oh, and you may have noticed that I'm kinda short...only 5'0", but I pretty much live in heels, so on most days I'm at least 5'4"-5'5" :-) but like the saying goes, "Good things come in small packages!"

I am straight forward and don't believe in playing games with others because it its a waste of everyone's time and energy. I enjoy being optimistic and look for the silver lining in everything. Family and laughing are important to me which works well because I have a large boisterous family who loves me to death and would do anything for me. Gosh, what to write. Well, I grew up here in Sacramento. I am close with my family. I like watching sports, going to the movies, going to concerts and all the other typical things like BBQ's with friends. Recently, I received my AA in Social Science and will eventually go on to get my BS and then my Masters and plan to open a teen center one day. For now, I am enjoying my new job and the fact that life gets better every single day.
If you asked my best friends about me, they would tell you that I love going to the gym, spending time with friends and family, cooking, and just generally taking care of other people. They would also tell you that I am very sweet, understanding, a good listener who is selfless and giving to the people that I love.
While I am an independent woman, I do have traditional views and am a wee bit old fashioned. I appreciate a man who can change my oil and mow the lawn. But I also really appreciate a man who opens the doors, holds my hand when we walk down the street and makes sure that I walk on the inside of the side walk as well as cuddle on the couch when watching the sports channel or a movie. In addition to the qualities that I listed above, I am looking for a man who is driven and motivated to better himself. He doesnt have to be a millionaire; he just needs to not be stagnate with his life. And also, he MUST be a Christian. He doesn't have to frequent the local church, but have a close relationship with God.
I want my life with my match and potential husband to be adventurous. I would love to travel with him, go camping, find whole in the wall hiking areas, new beach spots that arent real known and maybe we can do a little good together and volunteer with our favorite organization.
