I’m a Jack of all trades, someone that will drink a glass of fine wine one night and then a cold beer another. I can throw on a suit and take you to the symphony and the next day be in a pair of jeans building you a book shelf from scratch. Adventure takes over and I have no problem surfing on a cold day or snowboarding in a blizzard. I try and stay as active as I can, it's something that's been in me since I was young. Played a lot of team sports up through college but now a days I spend most of my time running, biking, swimming, lifting weights, snowboarding or just being on the golf course/range. I love trying new sports and just challenging myself. So, I've raced my fair share of triathlons and marathons. I'm also forever a Giant's fan!
In essence, I'm constantly working on myself. Trying to become a more well rounded, better person. Health and fitness has always been important to me, mostly because I love to eat!! Love food!! Love eating. Love cooking. Love learning about food. On the topic of learning, I read somewhere that when you stop learning, you've died. So, I try to learn as many different things as possible. For example, a couple years ago I decided to learn to ride a motocycle. Recently, I took flying lessons in a single engine plane. My new thing is learning a third language. Not easy, let me tell you. I also love to travel and see the world. The world is so vast and it has so much to see and offer. I try and get out when I can. I've been to a number of places and I have a bucket list of many more. But so far, my absolute favorite place is Italy. The culture, the food, and the wine is so amazing!! Lastly, I'm very passionate about my work. I love to help people and so I chose a career in the health industry, it's something that means a lot to me.
Girl I want to meet: You SMILE and laugh without hesitation. You can go from a morning run in shorts and running shoes to a dress and high heels for a night on the town without a problem. You're willing to stay in on a cold night and watch a movie but tomorrow be excited to jump on a plane and travel to distant lands. Someone with an unmistakeable passion for life. Date someone special from California, United States. Hrm, let's see. I'm usually laid back, and very easy going. I'm from Australia originally. Spelling out words with the letter 'H' is an adventure here! think it's a cultural trait to not be able to take things too seriously. I'm pretty goofy. If you can get passed the *ruggard* goofy exterior, I'm fairly smart too. I've been based in the states for 6 years, and in SF for 3 of those. San Francisco is my home now. When I first realized it was looking like I wasn't going to return to Australia, it was really weird, but now I'm very comfortable here.
There's a guy who works down at my corner cafe, Mike. He's got this really nice way about him. The other morning 2 boys came in, they looked like brothers. They were shy. They ask quietly, do you have any bagels left. Mike replied, we've only got 2 million left, how many are you going to need. If it's just a couple of hundred thousand, I've got you covered. The boys laughed and relaxed. I get inspired by good natured people who make people feel comfortable.
Balance is an important theme for me. Working out how to really live. Honestly and sustainably. Balancing really enjoying life, while being responsible at the same time.
For example, for sure, I like to travel. In the last few years, I've lived out of my Subaru with a tent in back, car camping around North America for a 4 month stint. Hauled up for a ski season in the Canadian Okanagan. Worked from the barrios of Rio de Janeiro and lived in a spanish immersion school in Peru for a couple of months.
But I've also come to appreciate, that I need and love to have a solid base. I'm not sure how you are. These days after I've been on the road for too long, it becomes ungrounding. I think my ideal would be to have an amazing, charming home, bright with sunlight, plants and interesting work here in San Francisco for 9 months of the year and to be able travel 2-3 months a year. That should be possible to set up, right? :D
There's a bunch of things that are important to help keep me grounded. Yoga is great.
I work for a tiny 4 person startup. Our team is distributed, based in LA, Vancouver, and then me here in the bay. I feel exceptionally lucky. It's super interesting work, as far as my work goes ;), the guys I work with are great, and I don't have an office so I get to work from cafes around town.
Who am I looking for.. so, you're almost certainly laid back. You're playful and adventurous. You get super curious about stuff, and are generally up for trying anything, at least once. But you probably aren't going at 100 miles an hour, all the time. Maybe 45? ;) But really, you're just a good person. You're honest, kind, and look out for your friends.

Some might say I'm the creative type. I'm an actor and filmmaker and I've done some work in independent movies and TV. I spend a lot of time studying acting and working on my next film project. I love it!

Born and raised in the Bay Area. Travel a ton (had to get extra pages in my passport and still managed to fill it). I grew up watching cooking shows and doing puzzles out of those phonebook sized books of mazes and word searches. Yes, I'm geeky at heart. I just spent April travelling...Germany, Switzerland, France, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand and Bali. Some of it was work but Switzerland, Thailand and Bali were all play...I spent my time in Indonesia with a couple 23 year old surf guides who tried to kill me softly with Bintang and 'double-doubles'...so much for pure play RR.
I learned a few things on my trip...1) one of my favorite things is exploring rural lands on a scooter in a third world country...2) I'm looking for love and companionship but i also see the benefits of partnership - for example, a little help with sunscreen would have probably kept my back from looking like a modern art exhibit 3) I definitely should train a bit more before paddling out in big, unruley, hollow, bone crushing waves crashing in 2 feet of water atop a jagged coral reef and 4) Australians do not speak the English I know.
I’m active, have many hobbies that get me outside...I find similar qualities really attractive in a partner. Looking for someone who knows how to, and maybe is really good at, having a good time out and about...I'm not short on ideas but just like all the rest, I’m perfectly happy staying in and enjoying the simpler things, like a home-cooked meal, a glass of red wine and some cinema.
