I like sports badminton, swimming, basketball. I swim in the mornings during weekends, I play badminton 1 to 2 times a week. I like singing also sometimes my friends would come to my place to karaoke.
My house is in Monterey Park and I love living here quiet and some view from hillside. I was originated from HK and immigrated here 17 yrs. My family currently is in HK. I graduated from ucla and I have been working for 14 years, 4 years in management and now working on software development.

I am a first generation scientist since birth. Since my mom and dad are not scientists, the only explanation is that the scientist gene must be recessive. NO, I am not admitting to being recessive - only to inheriting a recessive gene. Whether or not I am is for you to find out :). I am a rare breed of scientist called a protein crystallographer, among a few thousand on planet Earth (I have no clue how many are on other planets). It may be a mouthful, but it basically means I bring proteins to life by revealing what they look like. The adage "a picture is worth a thousand words" beautifully summarizes what I do. It is a very rewarding profession but it doesn't define who I am.
I just returned to Los Angeles after a 10 year hiatus out of state to MD, DC, LA, and VA in pursuit of an academic career that culminated in a professorship at a medical school in New Orleans. I returned to be closer to my family, with the intention of starting a biotech company working on cancer proteins, and lastly, but just as important, to be able enjoy the numerous outdoor activities that the City of Angels and surrounding communities have to offer. I love any activities that involve exposure to spectacular scenery and communing with nature to escape civilization once in a blue moon. I try to do at least one extended outdoor trip each year. Currently, I am preparing for a two week canoeing, hiking and backpacking trip in early August in the Grand Tetons in Wyoming with friends. You are welcome to join. It won't cost you an arm and a leg - just your muscles and an adventurous spirit.
I am hoping to find an independent, free-spirited and kind-hearted lady of any nationalities to rediscover the city, and perhaps to share my life with if it leads to that. I am very approachable and promise I won't philosophize - having a PhD just means I am highly trained in something, not necessarily that I am a philosopher, which I am definitely not!
