Meet a man from Sherman Oaks, United States. Recently moved back to LA after several months in South Florida, and it's good to be back (no offense to South Florida). I've lived on three different continents, but Southern California has always felt like home.
I am hard working and ambitious, but I like to have fun. Lately, "fun" has included working out, hiking, doing recon on new restaurants and bars, and exploring parts of LA (mostly parts that I should've already seen, but haven't, like the Getty Villa).
My friends tell me I have a great sense of humor, but I suspect they're all insane. They probably love my sharp wit and irreverent attitude, and that I'm not above donning some fake abs and sunglasses and going trick-or-treating as "The Situation".
Unlike The Situation, though, my abs will never become a multi-million dollar empire.
Which means I need to support myself with a day job.
I'm a senior analyst at an online advertising agency. I get to crunch numbers and figure out interesting correlations between online shopping behavior. It's a lot of fun and it appeals to my nerdy nature.
But my real passion is investment finance and I'm in the process of starting an asset management firm. I'm just doing the advertising stuff until I can fulfill my goal of becoming the next Bernie Madoff... he's the guy that cured polio, right?
One of my other passions is travel. I've been fortunate to have lived and travel all over the world. Which probably explains my faint British accent, which is accentuated after a couple of pints of Guinness!
I am looking to meet someone intelligent (nerdy's fine too), confident but humble, content but not complacent, kind but not a pushover.
Someone who likes to explore, go to concerts, go hiking, and try out new restaurants. But I'm also happy to stay at home, sit on the couch and watch a movie... all the better if there's a bottle of wine involved. Actually, I'll be drinking a vodka-tonic, but I'll pour your wine for you first.

Date single man from Sherman Oaks, United States. A friend from home once described me best when she said "everything you are, you're not." I don't know exactly what that means either, but it seems to bring uproarious laughter from my friends when I mention it so it must be very true.
I guess that's what you get when you have an inner-nerd/musician growing up in the body of an athlete. Instead of sitting at home confused about what I should be or do, I did everything! So, growing up I was just your average, every-day basketball-tennis-volleyball-golfer-baseball player-drummer-drum major-musical theater actor-opera singer-honor student.That left approximately 26 minutes per night for sleep and then I was up, ready to do it all over again!
I grew up in a small town in Western New York State and when I left for Los Angeles my father gave me one piece of advice. "Never forget who you are or where you came from." I guess I took that to heart because,for me,variety is still the spice of life! That statement has been misconstrued before to mean that I need more than one girl in my life or I get bored easily. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The variety in my life comes in other forms. I enjoy putting on a tux or suit and attending a high society event and then the next day I might be in cargo shorts and a tee hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains or lounging on the beach. I've taken vacations to the Canadian Rockies to be at one with nature and to Europe where I met all different types of people and experienced amazing museums, restaurants, and architecture. I enjoy going out with friends, but I am just as happy spending time at home with friends or someone special. I still enjoy music AND sports and will never be able to choose between the two!
On the plus side, I have finally found a career that I really enjoy. It is challenging. I am helping people and that makes me feel good about what I do. So, at the very least, I've got stability in that aspect of my life. I am driven to be the best at what I do. That is a constant with everything I do. If I'm not the best, I'm driving towards that goal. Apathy is not my friend!
So, I guess you could say I can't be labeled. But, hey, even if I could, I don't think I could fit myself into this little gray box they give you to type in.
My "perfect match" would be a girl who really knows how to laugh at herself. A sense of humor is so important! I'm not saying I'm looking for a comedian, but someone who enjoys life and understands wittiness when she hears it.
She would have to be a non-smoker. It's not that I think smokers are bad people. I just don't want to start caring about somebody who is slowly killing herself. (Wow, how did I go from sense of humor to that! *insert sad trombone here*)
She would be affectionate, caring, and unselfish. Relationships are give and take and that's not something you should ever have to think about. It should just happen. I enjoy a natural balance in a relationship. I am a giver and, if I’m in a relationship, need to be with another giver. I take pleasure in making the person I’m with happy in many different ways and my best relationships have been with others who, in return, find many different ways to make me happy and enjoy doing so. But again, this isn’t something that should ever have to be thought or talked about. It should just be inherent.
Lastly, I don't believe fighting is a healthy part of a relationship like many people say. I have been in a few great relationships and we never fought once. I think if you're fighting about things, if you're fighting about anything, you're not with the right person. So, unless you're a member of SAG, AFTRA, or Equity, please leave the drama to the professionals.
