If you have 30 modeling pictures, and then have a 30-word profile saying things like: “I’m looking for someone to have fun, go out to eat, travel places” move on. The description of your “perfect” mate should not describe 99.9% of the population. if you can find your soul mate on your next trip to the rest room i don't have a chance. (Why is effort, so often inversely proportional to looks?)

I’m not your typical guy. I am not going to be a good fit with just anyone. I like to explore, travel, and learn. I value intellect, work, ethics, independence, and doing the right thing (especially when - it's hard). I hold doors for old people, return wallets, and voluntarily protect the weak.

I love to challenge myself, mentally and physically. I am always active, I often run 25 miles a week. I have done, 2 mud runs, and 5 Marathons this year (and will run 2 more), I hike, ski, cook, salsa, swim, and camp... I am teaching myself the saxophone! I won a rifle in a shooting competition! I can swing dance, and tango! I ran UP Mt Fuji! I qualified for the "worlds toughest mudder" world cup marathon! Being a �Jack of all trades’ is like my super power. (only to be used for the powers of good *grin*) Always joking, I believe every smile has worth. I feel we should let the little things go, and enjoy life, be able to laugh at your self... (I once washed my entire car with a gas station squeegee...Lol.)
I like to learn. the more I learn; the more I realize I know so little. It will always be about the high-tech I love: I am a photographer, I have done graphics for the movie business, and I am writing a script (who’s not). I am in the military reserves; I have a degree in nuclear engineering, am working on my PHD in Aerospace engineering, and plan on going to law school (someday). I currently work helping fly Boeing 737 airplanes. But plan on retiring from NASA.

Here are the Top Ten things to know about me and what I'm looking for...
1. I'm very close to my siblings (although most are in Ohio) and I plan on having a family someday. If you do not want to have children, I'm not the person for you.
2. I'm very connected to my Catholic faith (I run a youth program at my parish). My match doesn't need to be...but it'd be nice to have someone to go to mass with me.
3. I love Ohio State Football. I like thinking about it, talking about it and watching it. So, Saturdays during the season, you'll know what I'll be watching. Wanna join me?
4. I bought a juicer a few months back and use it everyday. I'm actually pretty proud of the fact that I've been dedicated to using it. It's been a great conduit to get me eating healthier and thinking healthier. I've become much more conscience of what I'm putting in my body and hope to continue this lifestyle. I would hope healthy eating is an important aspect of my match's life too.
5. I have two old-school BMX bikes ('87 GT Performer and an '81 Mongoose Supergoose) and I alternately ride them to and from work a couple days a week. Some people may think it odd to see a 36 year old on bikes such as these...but I think it's awesome! So, I bike, hike and run to get/keep in shape. Physical activity and being in shape is a necessity for me and should be for my potential love interest as well.
6. Kindness, laughter, bright eyes, and a big smile are all things I look for.
7. I really like cartoons (I work in animation). If it's animated and I have time, I will watch it...especially the cartoons from the 80's. Is this appealing to you?
8. As much as I love the city limits, I love getting out of the city limits! There is nothing like a nice weekend trip to Santa Barbara, Joshua Tree or Vegas. You up for a weekend adventure?
9. As much as I love getting out of the city limits, I love getting out of the state/country limits! I've been to 45 states...so, I need to get to 5 more. As far as traveling out of the country, I've been to Canada, Australia, Spain and Korea. I have plenty of other places yet to visit...you in?
10. I've read 4 books in the last month...okay, so 3 were autobiographies...but I still learned some cool stuff and new words. It's a great way to wind down for the night. I like learning...do you? Oh, but I HATE writing papers.
I've been lucky enough to have had several different jobs and experiences throughout my life...from doing commercials when I was a little kid, to appraising real estate in high school, to teaching at a Spanish Immersion Camp in Bemidji, Minnesota during the summers, to coaching Women's High School Lacrosse in Bexley, Ohio right out of college, to packing my car up and driving out here with $327.52 in my pocket from Ohio, to walking 250 miles across Northern Spain. These are what have helped form me into the person I am. I'm not perfect by a long shot, but I'm interested in getting the most out of life and striving to be the best person I can be.
