With that said, I'd love to get to know someone who's emotionally and physically READY for a possible long term relationship (LTR). This doesn't mean that I'm about to have a coronary, LOL. On the contrary, being given CPR is my favorite recreational activity. I am a proud full time single parent of a baby girl who brings a great deal of joy to my life. I always thought men who stepped up to be true fathers were considered desirable, but it seems some women nowadays won't give a guy the time of day if he has a child. Just know that she is ALWAYS my priority. I'm not looking for another mom for her, she has one.
I think if the most important thing you look for while browsing Match is "athletic and toned", you're probably not my type because I don't waste time on shallow women. I'm very active, I *have* to be to keep up with my little girl. After a recent minor health scare, I take my health very seriously. Daily I work hard toward being more healthy, but at this particular moment I'm not Channing Tatum. I'm currently about 260 lbs. and losing. But I feel if a woman can't appreciate me while I'm still a little thick, she's probably too shallow to appreciate me for real when I'm slimmer. So what makes me ME? I'm laid back, don't do drama, and have MANNERS. Surprising in a guy, isn't it? I'm respectful, unless people give me a reason not to be, LOL. I'm no pushover either. I'm dominant when I need to be, and submissive when I like to be. ;-) I have a strong yet non-overbearing personality. I think open communication is one key to a lasting relationship, as are trust, respect, attention to detail, hard work, faithfulness, and HONESTY.
I do enjoy sports but not 24/7. Love watching the NFL live. I'm an Oakland Raiders fan, but I promise NOT an obnoxious one. A few close friends are actually 49ers fans. I also like baseball (A's, Giants), basketball (Chicago Bulls), and hockey (San Jose Sharks), as well as some of my hometown Baltimore teams. I *LOVE* Halloween and scary movies. If you're into horror movies (or can tolerate them), it's a big plus.
You? I have a clear picture of who I do (and don't) mesh well with. You should be drug free, disease free, sane, and not a serial dater. You should have some time to get to know someone if things look promising. You should NOT be a 24/7 party girl. You CAN'T be the jealous type in regard to my parental situation. It would be nice if we had a few things in common. And always ideal if you're looking to perfect your CPR skills. ;-)
