This is the treasure that I seek… I am looking for that person who will put a smile on my face each and every day. This will come from her wit, her adventuress attitude, her gentleness, her love for those she does not know, and of course for her love for me. She should be mature, but have a playful heart. It is great to be silly at times. She would want to go out and see the world and explore different cultures. She would be kind and compassionate to all and truly understand the meaning of brotherly and sisterly love. Upon seeing someone in pain, she would at the very least, have the utmost compassion for him or her. Her love for me should be similar to the love that I would have for her. We would be equals, but would do anything for one another. Commitment and honesty would not be words, but daily actions. The love would be free flowing, like a gentle brook, always fresh and rejuvenating.
Even though I am a happy man already, if I were to find this treasure, I would be ecstatic. I would be like the little child watching the Macy’s 4th of July regular fireworks display and then seeing the finale. My heart would explode with joy.

I owe a lot of who I am to my upbringing (hint, not SoCal) and growing up in a great family including 4 sisters and 2 brothers. In addition to the boring but valuable qualities of being kind, honest, responsible and hard-working, you'll find me to be quite diversified and higher than average on the athletic, educated and adventurous scales (and usually quite modest). If you're looking for the life of the party, a "bad" boy or extreme cockiness - well that's not me. I'm more the quiet, confident type but, yes, I can hold my own in social settings and enjoy being active and trying new things. On the flip side, I am also quite good at relaxing and enjoying downtime.
When I hit the big 5-0, I "retired" from my favorite sport of basketball but I continue to look for new exercise regimes - I've recently taken up both tennis and golf and I have blind faith that someday I'll turn the corner and be good at both. I also retired from coaching youth sports when my youngest moved into H.S. after many (many) enjoyable seasons.
Love tall women - but also looking for: attractive, thin, intelligent, affectionate, passionate, emotionally-secure, active and athletic. Hopefully not too much to ask as I believe I offer many of the same qualities. I don't claim to be evolved enough to ignore the physical traits I find desirable but I am advanced enough to know that those traits are meaningless without a deeper beauty consisting of a big heart, an incredible mind and a down-to-earth personality. Actually, i do try to look at the bright side of things so i guess you would call me a positve person. Going on 52 you might say that i don't lack from experience. Trying to nail this "partner" thing doesn't necessarily come with experience. Guess it's about timing and luck. Oh, and a good attitude. Now back to the" Match Speak": I came to the States many years ago, from Europe. I have traveled abroad some , but find the Bay Area to be the best place for me. I am intelligent, athletic and goal oriented. I am told I look 10 years younger than most people my age. Most of my pictures were taken within the last 6 months.
On a typical day after work you will find me running my dogs on Mt Tam, working out, hanging out with friends for happy hour, spending time with my family or at a yoga class. I love dogs, unique dive bars, live music, biking, the beach, foreign films. I have recently really gotten into grilling and smoking foods this year. My friends love my food and wine pairings.
