I think it's a tad hard to talk about oneself without a specific question being asked. So if you got one for me, send it over. I'll try and make the answer longer than 200 characters.

Date a woman from California, United States. Over the years, I think I've learned a lot about guys. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong:
1) Men are simple, in a really good way. You all do not generally read into our (women's) riddles and hints. In fact, you may find them kind of confusing, and rightfully so.
2) When talking to a man, it is best to be direct, stick to one topic, and keep details and tangents to a minimum.
3) Men in general want to care for the women in their lives, and bring us joy. But it is important that we women communicate clearly about what we need to be happy (and what we need to get in the mood, if that situation may arise) ;-)
4) Guys will express their feelings when they are ready. There's no sense in forcing a man to talk about emotions.
5) When the guy does choose to open up, what he tells a woman in his most vulnerable moments is sacred. We women should not judge those things too harshly. We definitely should NOT bring those topics up again, especially when fighting. That's just below the belt.
6) We women should try to avoid the phrase, "we need to talk" at all costs. It will only bring on negativity and trouble. If there is a conflict, refer to #3 above and try to keep it as positive as possible.
I like being in my 30's. It's good to be able to use life experience to create happy and healthy relationships.
All of my pictures are recent. I am what I am and I really do love myself. Not in a cocky way! But I'm proud of the woman I've become and overall am quite happy. I stay active and work out just about every day. I strive to be healthy and balanced.

I love the summer and am excited for what awaits. There's nothing better than waking up to a gorgeous sunny morning, and getting out to enjoy the day. Whether it be heading to the beach, going for brunch and sitting outside, or just going for a run and enjoying the views, I'm all about it. It's great to enjoy the little things in life, which makes the bigger things all that more special. I am always open to trying new things and being on the adventurous side (I've done mtn rock climbing, white water rafting, zip lining, surfing, etc.) - However, I'm not gonna lie... I can be the "scaredy cat" in the bunch who needs a little nudge, but don't worry, I always follow through! :D I don't mind getting a little dirty, but at the same time, I'd definitely say I'm a girly-girl too.
Being active is important to me, so I consider going to the gym as an enjoyable experience. I also love to dance. It's not only a great way to burn some calories, but it's also so much fun to just let loose and not care who's watching. I mean how can you go wrong with feeling a good beat and just moving to it, right? :P
At this point, I am looking for someone who loves to enjoy life and all that it brings. . First things first: I don't believe in rules or games when it comes to dating. Some people subscribe to pop philosophies suggesting that women should be "busy" when trying to plan first, second, and sixth dates or that it's important to wait to see what he says before expressing herself. For me, a great relationship is simply about love, respect, and appreciating differences. I want us each able to be ourselves and communicate easily.
I like listening to stories (and I don't mind long ones, including the whole backstory), which probably is why I like my job as a Therapist so well. I smile rapidly and have a hopeful, positive worldview.
Socially, I enjoy hosting dinner parties, wine tasting, and going to concerts with friends. I'm excited that the Hollywood Bowl season is upon us. I do a crazy type of exercise called CrossFit, in addition to running, yoga, and pilates. Staying mobile, active, and healthy is very important to me. I also love to travel, eat ethnic food and try new restaurants, read books, go to the beach, and the list goes one.
I've made my home in LA for ten years, and continue to explore different places in the vicinity. I grew up in the Southwest and went to college on the East Coast. . I love love love dogs and banana pancakes with cinnamon sprinkled on top. No matter the day, I drink two cups of coffee before anything else occurs. My Sunday afternoons are usually spent browsing at the flea market while my dog flirts with all the chiuauas (he loves the Latinas.) Camping and Disneyland are always enjoyable experiences for me, and the song "Dancing in the Moonlight" by King Harvest always makes me smile. "The Godfather part II" is one of those movies that I've seen a hundred times and despite owning it I'm physically unable to switch the chanel when it's on TV. "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" is a close second. It's been way too long since I've been boogie boarding, skiing, or on a real vacation. Visiting my beloved family doesn't count toward being on vacation.
I'm incredibly grateful that I'm able to recognize when I'm truly happy or when I'm in a season of painful growth that will mold me into a better person in the end. I used to live in a state of having dreams that I wanted to have come true more than anything, but now I just want to be where God wants me. He knows me and my path and I'm way too limited in my vision of the future to make plans beyond the month I'm actually in.
I do have a pretty cool job though. I'm a writer. Someone that is actually using their English major for something besides teaching. I thought that would be my road too, but like I said...God's plans are different than mine and always better. I interview celebrities for the cover stories of a national magazine. Love getting to talk so intimately with people and hear their stories.
I'm looking for a team mate and a best friend that I have undeniable chemistry with. Someone that is kind, loyal, genuinely cares about others, has a passionate love for God, someone that is confident and bold in his pursual of me, emotionally stable, has friends and/or family that hold him accountable, someone that is curious and would enjoy travelling with me.
