I'm happiest spending time outdoors, whether it's walking the beach, hiking, or strolling the lanes of foreign cities. I like tennis and skiing when my knee is cooperating, but otherwise can ride horses, sail, windsurf, snorkel, etc..., and would like to learn to play golf. I enjoy entertaining friends, but quiet time is important too. I'm perfectly happy curling up with a good book, or a movie, a glass wine, and the dog. Oh! I forgot something. Somebody special would be nice to share that with, too.
I live a fairly healthy lifestyle, but am not a fanatic. Love fresh, colorful foods, ethnic and otherwise, particularly grilled fish(salmon!) and chicken. Love anything lemon. Admit to not eating beef for eons, but don't care if you do. I exercise in some form every day. And, meditation starts the day out right for me.
I feel fortunate to have had some really wonderul opportunities in my life - travel is certainly part of that, as well as some special teachers. I am comfortable and happy working hard on a boat or in a class, camping under the stars, or at the St. Regis. Dressing for dinner, a Yo-Yo-Ma, or theater performance is exciting, and makes me feel special. I try to attend charity functions, or at least contribute my time, because it's important to give back. I believe in "paying it forward" or "random acts of kindness". Watching it in action really fills the heart. I am very grateful for super family and friends, but feel it's time to challenge myself, and expand the circle.
