Probably the most important thing to me in a man would be a deep, spiritual love of the forest, the mountains, the sea. He would know about "pack it in, pack it out." He would understand that the silence of the deep woods, the sounds of rushing water or crashing waves, the songs of the birds, crickets and frogs is the only music needed. I want to travel and have a long list of adventures. I'm looking forward to my trip to Hawaii, kayaking in the Sierras, fishing on Blue Lakes and camping on the Trinity River. I must admit it's hard getting comfortable swimming with snakes in the alpine lakes. LOL! I'm an avid kayaker. I have two boats, river and bay. Whitewater kayaking is my favorite, class I and II with an occasional class III for excitement. I'm also a music festival junkie. Music rocks my soul and can change my mood completely. My friends would describe me as having a great attitude 95% of the time and a fun person. I love: my daughter, friends, family, good food, sweets, my home and wonderful smells. I have worked in the high tech field ALL of my adult life. The carrot of retirement is getting closer. I can't wait to get out of a cubicle and do something more self fulfilling. I tried volunteering but found it was difficult trying to juggle working full time and volunteering. So that is on hold for now.
