Date a soulmate from California, United States. Hello – I recently retired from the Air Force Reserves, after a full year of active duty and living in Arlington, VA. It was a great way to end my military career and I am now enjoying having only one full time job. I am enjoying settling into my home and planting flowers knowing I won’t have to grab my bag of uniforms and go on short notice for various lengths of time. I am also enjoying reconnecting with friends and building a social life….. and also ready to meet a man who compliments my energy, optimism, interests in life and life style.
I love to laugh, have a great sense of humor and enjoy being out and about with family or friends. I am a great travel partner, a good listener, a go-to gal for a helping hand, a listening ear, sound advice or spur of the moment fun. I like being active and fit and enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, camping, kayaking, golfing, seeing the sights – museums, window shopping, people watching, fine dining, a play, movie, concert, art show… and of course, every girl’s staple – the mani/pedi.
When not dressed professionally for work, I prefer casual attire, or the appropriate sports gear. I am a girly-girl and I enjoy an occasional “dress-up date” for dinner parties, theatre, etc. I enjoy cooking and preparing dinners for my significant other, family and friends - even more so when I have my partner helping and visiting with me in the kitchen :-) I would like to meet a man with a well developed sense of humor, who is sincere with a willingness to speak from the heart and the ability to negotiate inevitable differences in a positive, healthy manner; one who actively cares for his physical and mental well being, is engaged with life, and is willing to try new experiences in order to keep expanding rather than shrinking his world; a willingness to try a new activity, meet new friends and travel a bit across our great nation and a few others, is desired. I would like to build a relationship that will be mutually admiring, (we may each notice a few odd habits but we accept those unique characteristics as part of the total package...) appreciative and supportive as we grow closer together.
A strong friendship is an integral part of a good relationship and includes enjoying a variety of activities together (not necessarily every day) and just spending time together. I like discussing events of the day ~ yours and mine, and I enjoy a robust and respectful discussion of local, state and national events, political and social issues. I do consider many viewpoints and I have learned that strongly-liberal minded men are not a good match with me - no offense intended but we just won't work out.
