I have a 26 yr. old son who lives on his own in Northern Calif. He graduated from Humboldt State and still lives up there. He visits and calls often and we have a great relationship. Family and friends are very important to me and I try to keep them close. I just retired this year from a long career teaching mostly kindergarten and first grade. Now I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
Walking at the harbor or on the beach is something I try to do often. I prefer Pilates to Yoga and try to take a couple of classes a week. I am easy to get along with and can have fun going out or staying home, but I don't like to do either all the time. I have had my own home for years and enjoy taking care of and improving it. Traveling is something I enjoy and I've been to a lot of great places and still have many more on my list. I would rather not do it alone. I am emotionally mature and have had many of my good friends for a very long time. I'm looking for someone with character and a great sense of humor. A healthy balance between work and play is essential. An ability to be serious at times and to see the lighter side of things are traits I look for.
