Raised in the Middle(Ohio) educated on the Right coast,(Boston) lived there for 20 years and eventually migrated to the Left coast.(Marin…cant get more left!). Living near an ocean seems to be essential to my happiness. Married for 24 years, most of them happy. I'm the devoted mother of 4 kids, who are all grown and mostly launched. My kids mean the world to me, along with friends and other family.
Settled in suburbs to raise my kids. I am drawn to the city for the nightlife, for the vibrancy and diversity. I like to live where I can walk to the movies, to a good restaurant, and to buy a decent latte. I like community and a sense of neighborhood. Love to go out to hear music in a small club at night. I also love being outdoors, love to hike on Mt Tam or Pt Reyes. The good thing about living in Marin is easy access to both SF and to beautiful places in nature.
I went back to school and back to work after my kids went to college. I find my job (MFT) satisfying, intellectually stimulating and rewarding and plan to keep working as long as the brain cells hold out. I love to read, run, hike, and I love to paint in my free time.
Not strongly political but I have progressive social values. I still love Obama, love that he is game to sing an Al Green song to Al Green!
Broad laundry list for Mr. Ideal Guy: hmmm.....mostly attracted to twinkle in the eye, good sense of humor, primarily sunny of nature. Physically prefer tall to short( just being honest, and when there is a rule there are always exceptions) Lively. Physically and intellectually. Thoughtful. Philosophical. Love of the outdoors is important. You are probably a take charge kind of person, but appreciate a partner who is your equal. Someone who takes life seriously but knows how to enjoy living in the moment. Hopefully you love what you do, and like being challenged, engaged and involved in work that feels meaningful to you. An ability to laugh a good belly laugh is essential. If you have kids you treasure them. And ideal guy must love dogs and children...Is this too much to ask for?
