I'm down to earth, kind of a tomboy, but I do love pretty shoes and look for excuses to get dressed up. ;)

I enjoy the outdoors. Whether it's a walk in the neighborhood or a day hike in the Sierras or on the coast, I enjoy fresh air and a little exercise. I like to do a little exploring sometimes on the weekends. Day drives or an overnight somewhere always feel like mini vacations. I'm certainly not a home body, but I also enjoy quiet time at home...dinner and wine and settling in for an evening is wonderful, too.
I go for morning runs two or three times a week and I enjoy bicycling with friends about twice a week. The exercise is nice and sometimes we stop at a deli or a bakery for a treat.
My biggest adventures... a powered hang glider ride 5000 feet above Maui - spectacular! I've also been on a week long bicycling tour of Idaho...camping at night and cycling and enjoying the wonderful scenery each day. It's not something I would want to do every year, but it is a great experience. I climbed Half Dome last fall. And I attended Spy School in Las Vegas two years ago, now that was an adventure! I'm willing to push the envelope a bit and try some new things. Scuba maybe?
I have two teenagers and they are great kids. It's incredible to see your babies grow into terrific people. I do spend time going to their events- sports and music and hope the person I am looking for understands the importance of that.
What am I looking for in a relationship? I'm looking for that friendship with a spark. The one that turns into a passionate partnership. During the summers I am quite active with open water swimming competitions. During the school year I stay as active as I can with a busy schedule. I play the guitar and piano and I'm adequate at both, not great. And I recently picked up a ukelele just to try it out. It's been fun.

I love baseball, especially the Giants. I'm a long-time fan going back to the $2.50 bleacher seats at Candlestick. I even collect a few baseball cards.

I love live theater. Plays, musicals, any kind of show. Also love spending the day in San Francisco. There is so much to see and experience there. Traveling is fun, too. I've been a few places and would like to keep adding to the list.
I really like dancing, but not necessarily at a traditional nightclub. I know how to swing and would love to find a partner, but guys who know how are few and far between. No pressure.
I'm sure there's more, but it's hard to decide what to touch on here. There's the wine tasting thing, the pizza fettish, poker, the desire to hang glide, etc...

I am an independent woman and pleased with who I am. As the mother of two wonderful daughters, I love watching them grow into independent thinkers and achievers. (not over-achievers).
And actually I am bit of a dork, and I'm ok with that! It's probably the main reason that my kids love me so much. I don't expect perfection from them and I finally decided I did not have to be perfect either.
I am happy in my life but do find it a bit lonely without a person to share conversation, travel and intimacy with. And I am in no rush for any of it. But I'll know when it arrives! :o)
