Although I don't have a lot of family, family is very important to me including my two son's who I raised as a single parent after being widowed when they were 12 and 13. I managed to get both through college although Chico State's reputation as a party school is true.
One son lives in Chico while the other lives in Foster City so they're each about 100 miles away in opposite directions.
I have to say I have the upmost respect for women who become single parents for whatever reason, being a parent was hard enough but being a single parent is the hardest job in the world. Seeing my son's become successful adults has been very rewarding .
I love one on one time with the woman in my life and love to snuggling especially while watching a movie or TV. I enjoy going to movies.
During and after high school I was in an outrigger canoe club in Southern California, most members were Hawaiian and I developed a love of hawaiian music and culture that continues to this day. I love visiting Hawaii especially the Kohala coast of the Big Island north of Kona Hawaii, but then again anywhere in Hawaii is nice. I also stream over the internet a Big Island radio station (KAPA) whenever I want to enjoy the lastest Hawaiian music.

Wow, seems like a lot like a lot to ask of someone, but not really, because these are the things that make for a lasting relationship, even a temporary one. I like flea markets, garage sales, concerts, art exhibits, movies, backyard barbeques, dining out, movies, DVD's , music, most any type, dancing and just "hangin out", I like long drives to and along the coast or the mountains.
