Born in MI (near Chicago) raised in 2 cities in MO, graduated from Universities in NE and D.C(what a fun place to be in your 20's). Also lived in CO, D.C., VA, HI, Spain and Austin (visited 3 of my 5 brothers after selling my home in Alameda in 8.08) with half of my adult life in N.CA. I was a single parent of 3 children and am grateful for the incredible gifts they are to me. Wouldn't trade the experience for anything! However, now as an empty nester, with self-employment, I have the opportunity to enjoy life in a whole new way.
I've done a lot of traveling, with Egypt, Tahiti and the Amalfi Coast being 3 of my favs. My bucket list includes: Manchu Pichu, The Amazon, Great Wall of China and Africa to name a few. I've been going to Mexco (love latin culture, food and ambiance) since my 20's. Finally decided Thanksgiving 2010 it was time to buy a timeshare in Cabo which I did with my oldest son. We just returned from a great trip with friends in May. Unfortunately this time, no fish..though the boat ride alone makes me happy.
I work out 3-4x/week, discovered Pilates and Yoga while in Austin, but have been attending all types of gym classes for many years. Can't imagine my life without it, kind of like not having salads, fruits or veggies or wine!
I love variety ...from food to movies (thrillers, romance, comedies, action) to live music (Willie Nelson, Sting, BB King, Aerosmith), theatre, to comedy clubs and the wine country (never met a wine I considered too dry). Like shooting pool in jeans while sipping beer as well as sipping champagne in classy, sexy gowns at the theatre. I like being around positive, fun loving people. life is too short to be stuck in the past or what people say you shouldn't do. Live each moment to the fullest!
