Date someone special from Sherman Oaks, United States. What's really to say? I feel I'm one of this normal girls in LA, but sadly I can't find a normal guy. I love to laugh and try to make others do the same. I think I can tell a good story, but admittedly not really a funny writer...I do love to banter and since I can dish it, I can definitely take it (bring it). I love rocking super high heels, but equally love sporting my flip flops... Comfortable at a great little dive bar but also love a fabulous black-tie event. A times I'm uber social, but once in a while, I love nothing more than lounging at home with my two adorable little (but not too little) dogs.
I am definitely a go-getter and high-energy and am looking for the same. If you can hold your own, and looking for your equal, I am your girl.
Meet a soulmate from Sherman Oaks, United States. Hi there! About me, let's see.. My name is Maureen, east coaster living in the LA area for about 5 years now. My career is important to me but I try to have a good work/life balance. I enjoy hiking on the weekends or catching a show. I go running three or four times a week and really enjoy it. I'm a social person and I love meeting friends for dinner or drinks. I love to cook, especially baking sweets! Like most I really enjoy traveling and want to see the world.. I am overall a happy person and feel that the "little things" are very important. I appreciate old fashioned chivalry. I do have a sarcastic sense of humor and will probably tease you about something. :)
I'd like to meet someone ambitious, smart and confident. I love to laugh and get along with funny people (since I myself am so hilarious)..
I really am 5'9 in height and would prefer to meet someone on the taller side ;)
Obviously there's a lot more to me than I can demonstrate here, so if you have any questions please ask!
Date a woman from Sherman Oaks, United States. To keep it short and simple... I am funny, loving, honest, kind, chic, and well traveled...
I am looking for someone who is honest, funny, loyal, ambitious, genuine, and likes to travel.
With that said, I'd rather meet you than type about you... :)
Meet someone special from California, United States. I'd like to think I'm fun! I know that I'm honest, pretty sure I'm responsible and I'm positive that I'm accountable. Lol;) I know exactly what I'm looking for in a man, it's just that I don't know how to put that into words. Plus, what do I know? I've been wrong before...ha!
Date a soulmate from California, United States. About me... I love being out doors and active. I love my family and my friends that are family you choose to pieces. I think people should live for today because your not promised tomorrow. I love to travel and see new things. I have a couple bucket list destinations i'm going to try and fit in this year. I believe a man should open doors and walk on the correct side of the road. Yes it's old school but I don't think it's to much to ask. I love to cook and when people enjoy my food. I love going to the movies, I refuse to miss the previews. Who i'm looking for besides what I mentioned above... Someone w/ no drama!!! Not sure what else to say.
Meet a woman from California, United States. I used to be against the online thing and want to meet someone in a more "natural way", but now I have come to realize if you meet someone that makes you happy it really doesn't matter how you met, the important thing is that you did!
I would describe myself as a confident, positive, fun woman who knows what she wants. I try not to take life or myself too seriously and I am constantly reminding myself to be grateful for everything I have. I try to find humor in everything I can and live by the motto "if it's not fun don't do it"! Don't get me wrong my job isn't always fun but I can't imagine doing something I absolutely hate, life is too short! I love my friends and I am extremely close to my family. Some of my favorite things include music, movies, theater, the outdoors, trying new restaurants and sometimes just taking a drive to explore new areas and see where the day takes me.
My goal is to fall in love and get married, but I am not going to settle. I would rather remain single than end up with someone I wasn't absolutely head over heels in love with!. What I am looking for is a man who knows what he wants in as many aspects of his life as possible. I also love when someone is passionate about something, anything... it's what makes life worth living. I consider myself a nurturing, caring person when it comes to relationships and I expect that in return. I love romance but it doesn't have to be over the top, even a sweet text in the middle of the day to tell me you are thinking about me can do the trick. Bottom line it's all about a guy that is willing to put in the effort, I'm looking for a man not a little boy.
I believe a necessity for all of us is to have is a spark with someone. So with that being said, I would rather meet sooner than later. Emailing back and forth is kind of pointless in my opinion, for me it is about meeting in person and seeing whether or not we have chemistry. Above all I'm just looking for someone I can completely be myself with and feel like I am a better, happier person when I am with them. Isn't that what life's all about?
Date someone special from United States. I'm an intelligent well-rounded person who has a goofy sense of humor and is very down-to-earth. I'm practical, adventurous, and independent. I enjoy backpacking solo all over the world from Pamplona, Spain for the Running of the Bulls, Egypt, Peru, to South East Asia. In my backpacking adventures, I've gone swimming with whale sharks in the Philippines, hiking among wild komodo dragons on Komodo Island, and scuba diving in South East Asia and the Red Sea. I've also gone to the Burning Man twice and enjoy the art and the irreverence of it all. I lived in Amsterdam for 7. 5 incredible months and had the unique opportunity to work as a consultant for Ernst and Young in Jakarta for 1. 5 years and did some brief non-profit work in Aceh, Indonesia for the Tsunami Commemoration. However, I had a change of heart about continuing my career as a business consultant, so I decided to get my master's degree in a more meaningful field. I recently finished my clinical fellowship a year ago in a field that I love. In my commute to work near la or west la, I enjoy listening to NPR, KCRW, KPCC, Radiolab, and This American Life. Overall, I'm a very positive person who appreciates life to its fullest. I feel very fortunate to have a wonderful group of family and friends and hope to find someone who has the same type of positive support in their life.
I enjoy indie music and film, art exhibits, the great outdoors, and backpacking abroad. I love hiking/camping in national parks. I started getting into travel photography as a result of my backpacking adventures. I like checking out downtown LA for the art exhibits, eating at random ethnic restaurants, grabbing a beer at a dive bar, going for a hike, and exploring random festivals/events. I took a wilderness training course and am starting to get into more backcountry/mountaineering adventures in the sierras. I'm also starting to get into rockclimbing as well and enjoy going out of town to go climbing at Joshua Tree.
MUSIC: Post-Rock ( Explosions in the Sky, Mono, GYBE, This Will Destroy You), Indie Rock/Pop/Folk ( Broken Social Scene, Radiohead, Feist, Andrew Bird, Bon Iver, Elliott Smith), IDM/Electronica ( Nosaj Thing, Justice, Aphex Twin, MGMT, Squarepusher, Four Tet, Eliot Lipp), Classical/Opera (Bach, Chopin, Rachel's, Balanescu Quartet), Jazz ( Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Sonny Rollins), Trip-Hop ( Massive Attack, Esthero), World Music (Marisa Monte, Cesaria Evora)
MOVIES/TV: Annie Hall, The Big Lebowski, Rushmore, Being John Malkovich, Children of Paradise, Freeway, Chunking Express, Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights, Reno 911!, Mad Men, 6 Feet Under, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Family Guy, Louie, The Trip, Breaking Bad, Parks and Recreations
BOOKS/POEMS: Unbearable Lightness of Being - Milan Kundera, Naked - David Sedaris, The Lovesong of J Alfred Prufrock - T.S. Eliot, Jiddu Krishnamurti
You should message me if my profile caught your eye and resonated with you. My biggest turn-ons are intelligence, a goofy sense of humor, patience, honesty, integrity, open communication, and genuine nice guys (it's a definite plus). Uber bonus points if you are also into outdoor adventures and rockclimbing. Turns offs would be arrogance, ignorance, players, and debbie downers. I value people who are not afraid to open themselves up and be candid. I like learning about new things, so I love it when someone shares a really cool literary quote or intriguing random fact. I'm looking for a person that complements me and am looking for something where both parties have an expanded outlook on life as a result of knowing each other.
**As a side note, I'm not much of an email back and forth type of girl. I'm a big believer in just meeting the person for coffee or drinks to see if there is a connection or not. My account has expired so I can be found on another dating website. HINT: 2 letter affirmation winged lover boy with arrows. Last picture has the answer.

I admire men who know what they want and aren't afraid to show it...confident, honest, humble and loyal! I believe that the rest depends on the initial spark between two individuals and their willingness and dedication to make things work from there on.
Date a woman from United States. A little about me...I'm an LA native who went to school in Wisconsin. I spend most of my days behind a computer screen so on the weekends I love to be outside. I love running the Santa Monica stairs and finding new ways to challenge myself. There's nothing better than being outside and enjoying everything that LA has to offer. I love to cook and make a killer linguini and clams. What else? I'm a big college football fan and love spending my summer nights at Dodger games.
Since most people ask the question why are you on match here's my answer in advance...After making my career my first priority I just realized that I really wanted to find someone to share drinks, dinners, football games and laughter with. So I'm here to find my better half.
I'm looking for:
1. Some who makes me laugh
2. Loves animals
3. Will spend summer nights at Dodger games or the Hollywood Bowl
4. My partner in crime
If you want to know anything else just ask!
. I think I started and deleted my profile intro about a dozen times now. I do not know how to write about myself. I guess it's because in a perfect world, I'd love to meet you organically. But the days of snail mail are over.
Without over thinking this, here it goes: I miss the 90's. Yes, I think that decade was the cat's meow with all of those flannel wearing, indifferent carrying, long haired guys that I used to crush on in my teens. I miss the "old" MTV. I miss the depth of that decade: the talent. Yes, I miss Kurt Cobain too.
A few random things about me: I have way too many magazine subscriptions...Dwell, Arch Record, Elle Decor, Wallpaper, House Beautiful, LA Mag...they are fanned out on my bed on the daily and I find myself frantically reading them in bits and pieces to justify my splurging. I buy books like some women buy shoes. These too are arranged on my nightstand however I only seem to get through 50 pages before I move on to the next. I'm an Aries. I have tons of passion, but terrible at follow through. Help me...please. :)
I am a hopeless romantic, but now in my thirties wrapped in a blanket of realism. I was raised by my dad since I was 15. His influence has definitely made me very understanding of men. I believe in you guys. I believe that just like women, most of you out there just want a girlfriend who you can talk with; laugh with...a woman who will allow you the freedom to do your thing, while you appreciate that she needs to do the same, while enjoying similar interests and of course, one another. At least thats the kind of guy Im looking for...one who is secure in himself, knows where he is coming from and where he is headed. A gentleman who is ridiculously silly (I'm a sucker for men who incorporate made up words into their vernacular; who bust out puns; a witty man is a sexy man!) But so is a man who says what he means...and means what he says.
. IРІР‚в„ўm only typing this because Match.com will not let me delete my profile, even though I am no longer a member of this site. Hidden is not good enough Match. I think that qualifies as a service no no and an online breach of etiquette. You can tack this onto your suggestions list as well, though IРІР‚в„ўm sure youРІР‚в„ўve heard it a million times.
Cheers.
. I'm looking for a decent guy who's smart, successful, fun, open minded, knows what he wants in life, honest and laid back, someone who's willing to hang out and do fun and healthy activities together ... pleaes no drama
