As you can tell from my "name" above, I love Israeli folk dancing and go 2 or 3 times a week. If you don't share my interest, that's OK - you do your thing and I'll do mine. I enjoy any kind of dancing - ballroom, swing, or just swaying to the oldies. I enjoy most kinds of music (except rap or heavy metal) and like listening to CDs or going to concerts. I love long walks, either brisk for exercise (I can walk at a pretty fast clip) or a slow stroll - beach, park, etc. I enjoy going to live theater. I often go to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
I find my volunteer work very gratifying - recording textbooks for blind and dyslexic students throughout the country, who would otherwise not be able to read independently. I typically record college level histories, biographies, and sociology and psychology texts. I learn something every time I read - except maybe when I read bibliographies or glossaries - a dirty job, but someone has to do it.
I have done a lot of traveling, but still plan to do more. I have been to Israel, western Europe except Ireland, Spain and Portugal. Going south, I've only been to Tijuana and Ensenada, and a big trip to Costa Rica. I just got back from a trip to South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe. Learned a lot. I also enjoy short trips to Santa Barbara, San Diego, Carmel, Big Bear, etc. and distances in between (Canada, Minnesota, Michigan, the Bay area, etc.)
There is, of course, much more to tell, and of course, a lot to find out about the person I would like to meet, and take life's journey with. I am ready to meet the right person. Maybe it's you.
