Date a soulmate from California, United States. Wait, what? You mean there's an essay?
My passions in life are my family and friends; being there for them and enjoying the adventures of life with them. Why else, other than for my college-aged niece, would I agree to a crazy 3 day road trip to Iowa in August (Iowa State Fair, here I come)! By nature, I look out for the people I care about first and tend to be the ring-leader in planning outings and events. I'm enjoying taking time for me, too, these days, and that includes this foray into the internet dating world in hopes of finding someone who is kind, family-oriented and curious about the world to share my time with.
I'm an info-junkie who loves to explore, whether it's the back end of the Versailles park or driving down that street over there, just to see where it goes. I love, love, love finding fun activities around LA. I read way too many blogs, from cooking to politics, but I hate to argue. As far as I'm concerned, laughter is one of the four basic food groups. Right now I'm enjoying my annual obsession with the Tour de France.
I'd like to find someone who is comfortable in his own skin, satisfied with where he is in life and looking for joy and good companionship. If you also know something about Buffy the Vampire Slayer, too, that's great.
Meet a woman from California, United States. Trustworthy, sincere, attractive, sensible, focused, observant, reliable, honest, with a good sense of humor. I'm a CNN junkie, I love dogs especially, as well as most animals. Eating well and taking care of myself is important, and making plans for a more fulfilling future is top on my list. I'm looking forward to meeting someone who is caring, thoughtful, adventurous, insightful, attractive, and who loves their work. It would be great to share an interesting conversation over coffee , or explore some new location and walk and take photographs. I'm open to new experiences and really getting to know someone on a deeper level. That's a good place to start and we'll see where it leads.
Date someone special from California, United States. Over the past several years, I've enjoyed discovering my independence and the FUN things that I like to do, including hiking, singing, working out, photography, cooking, sculpture. Completed a marathon in 2008, recently joined the Sierra Club, and have returned to martial arts training (with my 55 year old joints! LOL) I'm newly divorced, June 2012, (!!!) after being "separated" for a few years. I have 2 sons (17 and 20) who are with me part time, though they live with their dad. (My boys are excited that I'll be dating... although, of course, that age-group doesn't call it "dating" anymore.) Feeling relieved, capable and now, morally available to the possibility of meeting a really good guy, suitable for a fun, thought~ provoking, down to earth and responsible friendship and possibly more - we will know if there's mutual interest, chemistry, compatibility. I am not in a hurry for an LTR (long term relationship), certainly NO one-night-stands (that's weird, and so 1970s) Let's connect on a social, personal, spiritual level... the physical would naturally follow if those first things mesh!!. He must be a "young" active and liberal thinker like me, and a dad (to his kids, not to me HaHa) I love animals, love kids (work with 5 to 12 year olds) and I'm a big kid at heart, though emotionally, I'm pretty darn evolved! YOU should be too! ;-)
