I'll try most things once. I love water and bikes, which brings me to Santa Monica. I lived in Los Feliz for a while and I really miss being near Thai Town, but the ocean is outweighing a good prik king. I'm a NY transplant (Long Island born, Brooklyn bred), but over the course of seven years am gradually morphing into a west coaster. I've learned to slow my pace in more ways than one, and it's definitely a change for the better.
I try to give my suitcase a serious workout as much as possible. I love yoga, surfing, snowboarding and road trips. Animals fascinate me. I wish the sky played a soundtrack to punctuate dramatic life moments. I'm moderately obsessed with cooking, food and eating - it has shaped lots of my choices around where to work, where to live and where to travel. To be honest, I'm a huge nerd about it. I have way too many cookbooks without pictures.
I've always worked in marketing, most recently for a food company. I get to talk about things like burnt sugar flavors and mouthfeel all day. This makes me pretty happy.

I grew up in Orange County, but I went to college up in the Bay and spent another 5 years there hanging out and working in the area. I moved back down to So Cal about 5 years ago to attend grad school at UCLA. Can't beat the LA weather so I've made my home here since grad school ended.
