I like to cook and bake for those that are appreciative; I specialize in the American traditional food (roasted turkeys/chickens, pot roast, meatloaf, and other casseroles plus a host of baked goods to boot), plus I am pretty good with Italian fare too (lasagna, marinara sauce, fettuccini alfredo – yes, the sauce IS homemade).
I am a down to earth, have a solid head on my shoulders, great with numbers and organizing, a little nerdy, and a dedicated mom to an adorable 22 month old girl who is the center of my world. Family and friends are important to me and I make it a priority to be there when they need me. I am comfortable in a pair of jeans, a tank top, and flip flops, but I certainly don't mind getting dressed up for a night on the town. I am not fashion forward; I prefer to be comfortable yet sexy. I am a pretty big Disney fan (fair warning, I am an AP holder) that visits the parks 2-3 times a month. Things I regularly enjoy partaking in: reading, gardening, hiking, spending time with friends and family, listening to music (rock, country, alternative), cooking, and organizing (I’ve been compared to Monica from Friends before – not that dramatic though!). Other interests include camping, wine tasting, dancing (two-step, ballroom, salsa, line dancing – Zumba is pretty awesome too), sewing, going to baseball games, traveling, going to museums and zoos, and sightseeing - especially if history is involved.
About my date: Nice down to earth person that is comfortable and confident in who they are. Likes to go out of the house to a museum/amusement park/zoo/restaurant/hike/sporting event/go camping/ gathering with family or friends, yet at the same time is up for staying in for the night and just relaxing with a movie, board game, or cuddling on the couch. Lives a semi-active lifestyle, be it playing sports, hiking, or working out on your own or at the gym. Trustworthy, has a good set of values and is close with their family and friends. You are a fairly decent communicator, or at least willing to talk about emotions (I will not date a guy who keeps things to themselves and believes not talking about XYZ will resolve a situation). Most importantly you are a family man, and are not afraid of stepping into a relationship with a woman that has a child in her life and in her home. You are not afraid to hold my hand in public, or kiss me like you mean it regardless of whoever may be in the line of sight. You are not materialistic.
