I enjoy meeting people from other countries and learning about different cultures. I have traveled to a few countries, but would like to travel more when possible. I love to try new food and enjoy checking out restaurants. I wouldn't say I'm a "foodie," as I enjoy food from the simplest "holes in the wall."
I am originally from San Diego so I know what good Mexican food is and enjoy a good fish taco too ;) Food is always best enjoyed in good company as eating is one of the finer things in life.
Favorite places: San Diego (home sweet home), Hawaii (Lanikai beach in Oahu has white sand like powdered sugar). Salsa clubs with great live music. If you're not familiar with the salsa scene it's a different world full of an eclectic blend of people that represent different cultures, ages, educational levels and socioeconomic statues. Salsa offers such a variety and believe it or not there's social etiquette involved. Are you enticed to try? lol. Caveat, I do not teach salsa lessons. I am told I am a good follower and so I am looking for a great "leader." Paradoxically: a quiet Adoration Chapel also draws me for prayer, reflection and meditation. (balance is key).
I enjoy day trips, being anywhere near a body of water (preferably the ocean or a lake). In my free time I like going to the gym, running, hiking, rollerblading and recently started gardening. I enjoy yoga and zumba classes too. I consider a fun evening out hearing a live salsa band or going to a Broadway play. I love to salsa and Polynesian dance. I go out maybe 1-2 times a month so although I love to dance it's a rarity and so I embrace every chance I can. On the weekends I like to check out local hiking trails.
I am independent and at the same time like to be treated like a lady. I would like to meet someone who is "grounded" and stable. Someone who is handy and likes DIY projects would be a plus. Seeking someone who will be the calm in the storm and can make me laugh and smile at the end of the day. It would nice to meet someone to spend time with on the weekends and shares common interests. Education is important to me and therefore I enjoy intellectual conversation (a person who could stimulate me intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and physically). I like spending time with those I love, but also realize the importance of maintaining your individual identity in a relationship (spending time with friends and perhaps even having different interests). The key is trust knowing that your partner is committed to you and your relationship at the end of night. I'm loyal and expect the same respect in return. I have a little one who is the love of my life. I haven't gone out much because my child is my priority. Honestly, I don't have a lot of free time. I'm looking to meet interesting people as I haven't been out much lately. I'm optimistically cautious and open if something develops.
