I really enjoy playing golf, though I have a high handicap. Hiking in our beautiful wine country is a also favorite pastime.
I am a Midwesterner by birth (Chicago area) and have also lived in the Wis., Italy, Michigan, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and best of all...Sonoma County. My parents and grandparents were teachers, my father was a law professor. I was raised in a very happy home where love of learning and a joy of life were a constant theme.
I'm grateful for my friends and extended family, including my two children and their families. We are all independent and also fortunately live fairly close by each other and have a wonderful time with six young grand kids I highly value integrity, laughter, and a curious mind.

I have lived a rich and varied life. After spending 4 years on a cattle ranch in Idaho, and 33 years on the east coast, I finally succeeded in getting back home to California, which was no small task to be sure.
I laugh at old "Mash" reruns, silly pet antics and intelligent men with a dry or better yet, a "play on words" sense of humor.
Even though I have a BS in Psychology, and advanced training in numerous personal growth and healing practices, I have made a living with my hands much of my life; renovating houses, and driving a semi crosscountry, among other things. I also had a hypnosis practice for 15 years and helped hundreds of folks stop smoking and deal with other personal issues.
Today I am most greatful for renewed good health and to be living here in paradise (N. CA).
I don't have much social life these days. Never was into clubing or what today is called "Partying". I married too young and had babies too soon. Frankly, I don't think I missed anything really important.
I have lived in the country and in the city. I love the country but small town life is the best in my world these days.
In a "relationship" I am most interested, at this point in life, in friendship and companionship. Someone to share the day to day stuff of life with. Traveling would be fun and a great adventure whether close to home or across the world.
