today i helped an old guy across the street..... and by old guy i mean the 96 year old guy who rides a scooter up and down my street to and from the promenade. i've officially never met him, although i've lived here for nearly a decade. he wears a scarf and a wool hat even on the warmest of days and sometimes he stops to pet my cat who is always puzzled by his scooter on the sidewalk. today, his battery went kaput about 4 blocks from his house and i happened to be finishing a sweaty sandy 6 mile beach walk. i pushed it back to his house for him and he walked gingerly alongside with his beautiful mahogany cane. he told me about living in santa monica for 54 years. i felt young and grateful for my new friend.

I just wrapped up my MBA at UCLA and did well enough to be invited back to teach Management Communications (aka Learn To Speak Good). Having students is maybe cooler than being a student. I will soon return to the world of entertainment work. I am dedicated to reinventing the entertainment industry and using the most powerful communication technology in the world to do some good. We can and we should.

I write a blog called Caution Curves Ahead, so it would be bad branding if I didn't acknowledge and embrace my curves. I work out a lot - endorphins are my crack. Adventure and traveling is an essential part of my life and love the idea of sharing that experience with someone. I have close friends spread throughout the world (mainly in Europe) and love traveling to visit them or just to explore new cities, cultures and food. My favorites would have to be London, the Italian/French Riviera and generally most sunny and warm destinations by the water. I've roughed it in my 20s, but these days I'm more about villas, azure skies and ultramarine blue views.

Originally from Northern California, I just moved to LA from AZ for my job, and to be closer to friends. After college I lived in San Francisco and loved it, but LA is growing on me.
I am fortunate to have a close relationship with my parents, who have taught me to also value the strong friendships I have with a handful of close friends I've had for more than 20 years. My family are my friends, and my friends are my family. They would tell you that I am happy-go-lucky and fun-loving, but that I am horrible with directions. On the weekends, we can be found riding bikes to the beach or farmer's markets, art shows, hikes, seeing live music, or checking out a new restaurant. During the week I work for a busy design studio that I love.
I'm usually attracted to outgoing personalities with intelligence, creativity, and passion. Quiet sophistication and a sense of style is attractive to me, just as much as the goofy nerd. I love to travel, whether it's a road trip or an international adventure, I think it is important for the soul. I recently travelled to Thailand on a solo adventure which was one of the best experiences of my life. I lived in Vail for 2 years so I go back at least once a year, and I also try to make it to Hawaii every year if I can. There are still a lot of places in the States that I have yet to explore...sometimes I forget about the middle of the country, since I spend my time on either coast.
