Date a soulmate from Rocklin, United States. Thus far, I have been very fortunate, having lived a wonderful life. Of coarse you encounter obstacles and misfortunes along the way but looking back at the different chapters of my life, I would not trade it with anyone.
I have been employed by a Provincial Government in Canada as well as a major Engineering firm in Corporate America. Several years after moving to the United States I spent a year in The Netherlands at ITC. ( International Center for Surveying, Mapping and Aerial Photography ) After retuning home I was bestowed with the title of, Certified Photogrammetrist, by the American Society of Photogrammetry.
My traveling began at an early age and I could legitimately be referred to as an independent, or in some cases, adventure traveler, such as when hiking to the base of one of the worlds largest Glaciers in pristine Patagonia with a topography unrivaled anywhere on the planet. Or the 4 days in, 3 days out, while accomplishing the Annapurna Trek in Nepal, as well as the more arduous 4 day trek via the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru. Both of the aforementioned elevate you to over 14,000'. Although I have traveled extensively throughout the world, these particular trips have been within the last 10 years and whether I would want to do anything quite as demanding in the future, is questionable. There is however, many exotic destinations out there beckoning, and I do not intend to disappoint. I will have to admit, while based in Saudi Arabia for 2 years as Operation Manager for our Company, I was afforded the opportunity to visit several countries in the Middle East that the typical tourist may not necessarily choose to do, but you never want to give up the opportunity to experience different cultures.
Besides my lust for travel, I have many diverse interest's and the first began at about the age of 8 when I began Salmon fishing with my Father in Victoria. Years later it was to continue off the Northern Coast of California. With wild Salmon dwindling in numbers, I now have to be content with rock picking Abalone, as you have observed in my pictures, while asking yourself, " what are those?" I was always very athletic and played all of the major sports, not only for my own school but for the city teams as well and that continued for a number of years, even after my move to the U.S. I have always remained active by going to the Gym or as I'm doing these days, a lot of walking. I am somewhat inhibited at the moment because of a minor knee ailment but I have recently taken out membership in a Gym so that will help to alleviate the problem. For the most part, my dreams have been fulfilled. Having been raised 2 blocks from the ocean, that is where I wanted to be. As a result, I have a second home on the Mendocino Coast that is my solitude and is where I try to spend 30 % of my time. Although it is difficult to find fault with 180% of unrestricted ocean view, and particularly if by myself, I may begin to miss Costco.Clarification is in order. The beginning of the preceding paragraph means," not everything." During my late adolescent years I had developed a passion for Classical Music. After moving to Santa Barbara, I located a teacher and found out in short order that he was a protege of Vicente Gomez, the renowned Guitarist of International and Hollywood fame. My teacher, Diego Del Monte had often indicated I had a natural ability and I always attributed that to be an extension of my athleticism . Unfortunately, after 2 years of study and practice, other priorities came into play, one reason was that I was moving, but I will always regret that music never played a larger role in my life.I view this as the beginning of another chapter in my life because of this moment, there is a void and I would like to fill it. I will never be desperate because that is not my personality but it is far more comforting and rewarding to share those memorable experiences with someone rather than have to harbor them within yourself.
