Date a soulmate from Sebastopol, United States. I re-write this almost daily, searching for a fresher, truer way to say something that does more than cast a pale shadow. If you are the woman I am searching for, and I am the man you long to be with, you may feel a knowing, despite this screen of words . . . perhaps a recognition of something essentially familial in you and me. Something that is coming up for air after a long dive into darkness.
I'm not interested in the footsteps we have left behind . . .
Black on White
Whose footsteps are these?
Who first broke the empty snow,
And walked, alone
Against the cold night,
Wrapped in quiet.
Who set off in darkness
To find his own path,
And now looks back
At black on white
And asks?

. . . or what you and I have done. I want to know who you are, what draws your attention, what you greet with a smile. How do you touch the world? Can you be yourself, and still be part of everything? Can you sit next to me, comfortable in the simple luxury of trust, focused on what you're doing, and leave room for me to do the same? Can we then turn to each other, as if for the first time, fall into the abyss again?
Do we speak the same language to the world? Can we decipher the language of breath, of touch, in ways that will call us home? Are we, by grace of faith or intent, fully vulnerable to that which comes, with unerring accuracy, to crack us open?

My work is to help clients discover clarity about conditions and choices. Action/options that may not have been obvious. Deep listening, assisted by astrology, dreams, Runes, and Tarot, informs the work.
For the sheer joy of it, I write and deliver to audiences my poetry and short fiction.
I've been divorced for 20 years, and have a son, a daughter, and a granddaughter (born in March). My relationship life is abundant in friends, acquaintances, and activities in the community around me. Dating? What the heck is That? I'm opening to long-term love.
I exercise most days, walking 20-25 miles a week, see friends for meals or events, participate in writing groups, and communicate with others regularly via email. And lately, spend an incredible amount of time on this website.
Meet single man from Sebastopol, United States. I'm shy, well educated (Princeton PhD in Psychology), very loyal, formerly athletic (gymnastic team in high school--does that count?). In terms of what I'm looking for, I'm not sure other than someone I can care for and someone who cares about me.
I am in the process of reconstructing my life as I lost my wife, my life partner, a year and a half ago.
I'm seeking an empathetic friend to talk to, perhaps have a glass of wine with, in a lovely spot in this very beautiful part of the state.
