The serious:
I'm a Bay Area Native currently living in San Francisco. I grew up in the theater and artistic worlds. I've studied, performed and (won competitions for acting) Shakespeare and sung Oscars and Hammerstein. I'm an extreme music fan, it's my drug of choice. I live it. Breathe it. Need it. II have an eclectic and expansive music library.
I sing backing vocals for a couple of Bay Area bands. I enjoy singing back-up more than lead because I enjoy making others sound more beautiful through harmony. I'm currently learning the piano.
People fascinate me most. My friends come in every shape, color, age, religion and political or sexual orientation. I'm a conversationalist. Date someone special from United States. I don’t think I can exactly describe the kind of person I am looking for because I am always surprised by who I wind up liking. I guess it is that certain je ne sais quoi, but I would have to say that I like someone who prefers adventure over stability and who would rather do things than buy things. I’m definitely more impressed by someone who can fix a car than drive a fancy one, and I would take cooking a good dinner over a five-star restaurant (though I’m always looking for an excuse to get dressed up!). I’d rather spend a vacation learning to surf instead of lying on the beach (which I have tried a few times and definitely still have a lot of learning to do) and prefer places off the beaten path. Above all, I am just looking to find someone interesting and fun and then take things from there….no strict must-have’s (oh, except the passport!)
As for me, I guess I am sort of a well-traveled girl-next-door. Though I grew up in a town where the highlight of the year was the Corn Fest, I have lived in big cities most of my adult life and my Passport is well stamped. Some things I like are : Sushi, dirty martinis, clean mega-threadcount sheets, playing guitar, reading, backpacking (and camping gadgets), The Discovery Channel, Spanish-speaking countries, strong coffee, Ryan Adams, cowboy boots, Broadway shows, lotion, Tomboy beer, my job, Scrabble, Bill Mahr, sleeping late, running, french toast, national parks, The Wolverines (and of course the Cubs) and seltzer water…to name a few.

I’m a Berkeley native – a little whacky but not a hippie. I do believe in giving back, thinking about the greater good and making a difference. I love Cal sports and bay area sports teams, though I’m not sure how I feel about the Niners moving to Santa Clara. If you’re a Stanford fan or USC fan we might still get along but I’m not saying it’s going to be easy.

i work as a computer graphics artist at a visual effects company and for the most part love my job. the hours can get long sometimes but i believe in a good work/life balance so i never let it get too crazy. i like to watch movies, try new restaurants (i probably spend an inordinate amount of time reading about food but i don't think i'm obsessed with it or anything), take a stroll around the city to grab a coffee. i like to be active and get out to do things. adventure is exciting and always thinking about the next place to travel to. photography is a hobby of mine and i think my dream job would be a travel photographer. there is such amazing beauty in the world both from a scenery and people/culture perspective. i like watching shows like amazing race and expedition impossible because i like to imagine myself in their position and imagine how well i could do what they're doing. i think so far for expedition impossible, not very well!
from a couple of stints living abroad, I'm pretty good at translating between an aussie, brit, and american. I discovered and got to use this skill on a recent trip to namibia.
