I love to have a good time and friends like having me around to get the party started. I don't go out very often so when I do I try to make the most of it!
Having said that, most of my weekends are spent watching my son play baseball, working in my yard or just relaxing at home. I'd usually rather get takeout and watch a movie curled up on the couch than go out to a fancy dinner. Not against fancy dinners or a busy social calendar - just a little more low-key is more my thing.
I like a strong, smart and funny guy. The ability to deal with my sarcastic humor is a must! Someone comfortable and confident but not egotistical. Honesty is a must and you've gotta be a "says what he means and means what he says" kind of man. You don't have to look like a metro model (in fact, I'm not typically into pretty boys) but be well-groomed and in good shape. Kind eyes and an easy smile will go far...
Looking through some of these profiles has me wondering when everyone became a freakin' triathlete and world-class traveler? I love to hike and I work out but I'm not interested in 200-mile bike rides or losing any fingers to frostbite on Mt. Everest. Travel and adventure are great! I have been to some cool spots and there are SOOO many places in this beautiful world that I'd love to explore. There are also days when taking my dog (mastiff-Rott mix if you're interested) on a long walk after work and watching Planet Earth works too. ;)
My kids are teenagers so I'm not changing diapers or anything... but definitely still have priorities and obligations that come first. Btw, my kids are AWESOME! I won't launch into details now but they are definitely a great part of the package.
I've taught my boys to be chivalrous and I certainly expect it from a man. You don't open the door for me because I can't do it myself, but because you want to! And I promise that I will appreciate it every time you do. Don't worry, I will be good to you as well... ;)
