Me- I am an artist at heart, but have found success in sales and love what I do. I can camp in the woods or attend a black tie event and be completely comfortable. I can also stay in and have a chill night with dinner and a movie. (love Italian), an independent film, music, a cold beer, traveling, photography and just about all outdoor activities. I've been exploring Marin and have found some amazing trails. I love my friends and have a large family in Wisconsin and Hawaii. If you are in my circle, I will always look out for you and treat you as family. I've lived in SF for about 10 years... NY and London before that. I grew up on an island and I'm still happiest on a warm beach. I try to escape the city on weekends for hiking and biking, and I spend my winters snowboarding in Tahoe. IРІР‚в„ўm a big powder junkie so if you are up there with me, expect to be woken up early on powder days. The rest of the time, I love lazy mornings feeding my coffee addiction and reading.
I have a passion for travel. I recently headed to Asia on a one-way ticket and spent three months in Thailand, Vietnam Cambodia, Laos and Indonesia. I've been to 39 countries so far, but I hope to find someone to explore the remainder with.
So… what I’m looking for. I want to find someone with a big heart and curious mind. I hope we both enjoy mello nights together but never stop going on adventures and cavorting with our friends. And I'd love to start a family and grow old with someone that makes me smile every day.

. Things I like: a tall glass of whiskey while taking bubble baths and listening to Kenny G, running over people in my SUV, long walks on the beach contemplating the use of Velcro, and...taxidermy.
Ha ha, not quite, but in all seriousness, I really value a great sense of humor and originality, which touches on the silly, droll, and ridiculous. Many years ago, I was a ballet dancer, but now I just like to occasionally break out in goofy, erratic jigs. In short, I’m quite childishly enthusiastic with a good deal of mature depth and focused compassion – a nice combo, so I've been told. Basically, I think I'm a total dork, yet I have enough coordination to cook some mean ribs that puts most rib recipes to shame. I love cooking, in general.
Things I actually like: Sushi, the words "brouhaha", "verboden", or "simpatico" incorporated into English sentences, breakfast for dinner, self-respecting cocktails, guys who open doors for gals, Trader Joes, all things purple, hiking sans poles, that first, fresh pine-tree scent that tells you you've entered the mountainous alpine zone, ping pong, random texts from strangers that were meant for someone else, a book that makes me forget where I am at that very moment, hot showers, and the occasional emoticon. :-)
In terms of my background, I have west-coast, urban blood from my dad which has given me moxy; and, rural mid-west from my mom, which has given me a very kind, friendly, and moral demeanor; she was in fact a dairy beauty queen, but don’t worry, I didn’t inherit the “you betchas”, “oh jeezes”, and “doncha knows” from her. Well, maybe sometimes. I feel incredibly lucky to write that all my friends and family are quality, warm people who care deeply for me, and I for them. I would do almost anything for them.
Good-character values are important traits I look for in someone. I feel incredibly grateful to be where I am, and giving back to others gives me a great deal of joy. I am on here, simply because I have not met the right guy yet. I am wanting to meet that special person where we can connect and accept one another for exactly who we are, as we are. I find that an attractive guy is one who can embody a certain gentle, masculine solidity in how he is in the world: genial, brave, at ease with himself, good to others, positive. I connect most with people of deep substance who go with the flow, but who also combine that with light-heartedness and lots of laughter. I suppose some of those virtues are what make people successful travelers too. I love exciting adventures, locally, nationally, internationally. I just recently returned from a ridiculously amazing trip to Iceland this July 2012. What a country!!!
So, Health: I try to do things that will benefit my life in the long term, and I generally keep an all-around healthy, clean lifestyle. I attribute looking younger than I am (hope that isn't boasting, just been told that from people) to enjoying life and being good to myself, inside and out. I am quite active, being an avid runner, hiker, yoga-goer, skier, segway rider (REALLY?! No, not really - that one is a joke), sometime tennis player, all around new-activity attempter, and enthusiastic ping ponger - even if a wayward ball hits you or an innocent bystander from time to time. From a weekend in the Sierras; to a high-altitude trek; to gardening in muddy soil; to a night couch-potato-ing it; to a hottie-dressed-up evening out – I can assimilate to it all.
What catches my attention? Quite simply - a calm, personable, humorous, attractive, and healthy guy with tenacity. A guy who really likes the person that he is, or is becoming. A great smile is always a big plus too, especially when it comes from within.

Someone who is equally happy going out on the town or hitting a dive bar, outgoing and friendly, confident but not cocky, comfortable in your own skin and with who you are, takes care of himself mentally and physically. If you love to cook, how about a game of Iron Chef? If not, I don't mind cooking, you can always do the dishes or put em in the dishwasher. I may be independent, but you still get bonus points if you squish the bugs for me. ;-)
