I am a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, child of nature, smart-@ss, aspiring chef, music lover, political junkie, and frequently of Amazonian height (some of my shoes make me about 6'2".) I get up at the ridiculous hour of 4am on weekdays to spend quality time with my iPod on the treadmill. I'm a native of the Bay Area with southern roots, so I use the word "y'all" correctly. I drive the speed limit. I don't instinctively know my left from my right (but I am getting better at it). I vote in every election. I email my Congressman and Senators. I am both sincere and sarcastic. I love all things coconut and using parentheticals (if you hadn't noticed.)

I can be very girlie (I love shoes, purses and fashion) but I can also hang with the guys without missing a beat; my male co-workers come to my desk (or email me from home) to talk about the Giants and my last single "dude" friend standing says I'm cool and funny. I possess what others may call contradictory traits, but I don't think anyone is all one thing or another. Just as my music collection ranges from punk to opera, so does my personality. Somehow I can make jeans and a tee look "dressed up". I am the youngest of 7, but was essentially raised as an only child as my siblings are all 12 or more years older than I. I was a punk, honors student, cheerleader, jock, and a student government/newspaper nerd in high school. I started college as an English Lit major and discovered a natural ability for astronomy. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm difficult to define, so I'm going to stop trying.
Of course, like EVERYONE, I do love to travel (an apparent prerequisite for Match.) Locally, I enjoy seeing live music and comedy shows, going to Off The Grid food truck events, and enjoying all the natural beauty the area has to offer. In fact, music and food are my two big passions and are reoccurring themes through my life. I'm frequently in Marin County seeing my friends, who are my second family. I'm very close with my actual family too, who are scattered from Virginia City to Hayward.
I'm hoping to meet someone who shares my passions and hopefully has some of his own. Tall would be nice, since I love my heels; smart, educated and well informed are absolute necessities because I also love conversation and understanding. My ideal man would be as comfortable at the ballpark as at the opera, but also enjoy quiet nights in with a home-cooked meal. He would be able to express himself both verbally and physically, enjoy and give lots of affection, wants to settle down and start a family (but knows that it isn't the end of life's adventures) and shares my political leanings, if not my enthusiasm for politics. Someone who makes me laugh until my cheeks ache would get big bonus points. I'm very committed to my health; you don't have to live at the gym or eschew all the tastes-good-but-bad-for-you foods, but you have to take care of your body. Balance is the bright, flashing, sparkly key word there (and most other places, really.)

Date a soulmate from United States. I have always been the type of girl that was career, travel, and friends first.
