I Was very blessed and fortunate to be raised in a strict, tight knit family that instilled amazing morals and values. Date a soulmate from California, United States. Everyone has a list so here's mine.These are the things I bring to the table. We are all a work in progress but what I do expect is someone who shares similar values:
1. Employed - I know times are tough, and I'm sorry. I don't want a sugar daddy. I want an equal.
2. Value education/knowledge - the degrees behind your name don't matter to me. I care that you enjoy learning and will care that your potential children have a good education. (I don't have kids. I don't know if I want kids, but of "we" do, their education is extremely important to me.)
3. Unequivocally single - no its complicated, I'm separated stuff. Be single or be divorced. There's no room for "us" if you're still dealing with her.
4. No children - I know I'm of the age that more people will have them than not, but I'm not keen on dealing with the drama with the other parent. Willing to reconsider if your relationship with your child's mom has been over for some time and you two are balanced in how you raise your child. Been thru a situation that was not resolved between the parents and I don't want to go thru that again. Too much drama. Kid was super sweet though. I feel bad for her.
5. Responsible with money and credit - Outside of a home, car and school loans, are you in copious amounts of debt? Do you have bad credit? Do you plan for a rainy day? Are you an impulsive spender on big ticket items? Do you pay yor bills on time? These are serious questions for a serious relationship. I have excellent credit. My debt is minimal. I support myself 100% and I plan for big purchases, but I am not excessively frugal (aka a cheapskate). I pay all my bills on time and I enjoy a splurge every now and again. If you're not like that, we will probably fight about money in the long term and I don't want to fight over money.
6. Physicality - I'm not perfect. I don't expect you to be either. Good hygiene and coordinate clothes are about all I expect. I would like someone who likes to be active in all aspects of life. We probably won't mesh if your a super-jock or a total couch potato.
7. Independent - I'm not needy, need to be around you every day girl. I have my own interests and my own friends. I want to share them all with you but I also want us to still be able to focus in what makes us individuals while building an "us." Have guys night. I will still have girls night.
8. Loyalty and Fidelty - be honest in your dealings with me and with others. I want to trust that you will treat our relationship with respect and honor when we are together and apart. There's no 'single by convenience' in my book. If you're not ready for a seriously relationship, I'm not your girl. I'm not insta-relationship girl, but I want to know I'm dating someone who wants long-term.
9. Family - family is first, meaning if we build our own family (with or without children), our home is first. If we can't take care of our home, we can't take care of others. Secondary to our home, out extended families should be loyal, loving, caring and welcoming. My parents are not the "inlaw from hell" type. I hope yours aren't either. If your mom thinks you can do no wrong, she's probably not open to a woman being in your life. If you have a strong relationship with your parents but they let you be you, we're golden.
10. Happiness - life isn't perfect but a positive outlook during adversity is crucial. I don't mean living life with blinders on, but know how to bounce back and keep it pushing. Life is going to throw us obstacles at every turn, but if you can count your blessings on the darkest of the darkest days, you know happiness. And when you're not happy, I hope you'll turn to me for a smile and vice-versa.
