Date someone special from California, United States. Yup, I am another Boston-area transplant that has made San Francisco home…since 1991. The people, the weather, the spirit have all seemed to work. I have traveled all over the world, mostly for biz' but a lot for pleasure as well….’had the good fortune of living in 3 different cities in Europe over the course of 5 years. I am a former technology guy trying to make it outside that crazy scene. Since my tech-world escape I went to grad school in Holland (Economic History) for a couple of years and have learned how to cook (and discovered that I really enjoy it). Scalping tix at the Fillmore to see an interesting act is great fun and deciding to go at the last minute is even better. I love learning languages but I have yet to master any other than English (and even that one presents a challenge at times) - when you sneeze I can offer you a polite salutation 5, or maybe 6 different ways. Yes, I love hockey and actually love all sports. It is not an obsession and will rarely prioritize it above doing other things with that special someone. Yes I enjoy all the travel and outdoor activities that it seems every woman on here likes to do but if I happen to come across a movie that I love on TBS or a sporting event that looks compelling, I will plop myself down in my favorite chair and watch it to my hearts content.

Just recently saw the Bluegrass tribute on the beach which was amazing.
