My training is in orthopedic surgery/hand and microvascular surgery. While working in that field, I won the national and international best paper awards for surgical procedures that I devised. My research has been published in the Journal of Hand Surgery. I feel that I've been able to influence my specialty in a positive way for others.
More recently, I received a Master's degree in Public Health from UCLA and redirected my practice toward public health related work; employing my talents in a more meaningful way, with a focus on educating the public and advocating for prevention. Additional hobbies of mine include hiking, yoga, travel, baking (cheesecakes are my specialty), meeting new people, singing, and reading.
