Date a soulmate from California, United States. I have been single long enough to appreciate the positives and challenges inherent in single life. My kids are old enough to need less time with me and are encouraging me to shift my focus to dating, enjoying more of my non-parent time. Game on. Okay, maybe not the best choice of words but offers me the opportunity to clarify. I love to play (again, I can just be awesome with my words…) hard but I’m not a gamer (not video games, not interpersonal relationships). There are plenty of hidden agendas and negative intent in the world around us. I see it as a waste of energy and precious time on Earth. I’m ready to share some serious intimacy, pay attention to and nurture a developing love, share a life. If you are thinking similar thoughts and/or experiencing that internal motivation then we could be off to a good start.
A little more about what I’m seeking… I would like to have a love that is filled with patience and understanding, forgiveness with accountability, undeniable passion and appreciation, all mixed with some crazy physical attraction that deepens as time passes. I’m comfortable taking my time until I’m knocked completely off balance by the “love bug” bite I know will come when least expected.
I believe I can bring to the equation a healthy dose of kindness and enthusiasm, “challenges” that will likely make you laugh and a few that will provide a bit of irritation (We all irritate one another and ourselves at times.), fiscal responsibility, dreams, security and spontaneous thoughtfulness. I have been told that I can be quite funny and can often find the humor in most non-harmful scenarios. Actually, I have the ability to laugh at me when I get hurt at my own hands. The aforementioned are qualities I have been told I possess and those which I work hard to embrace.
Now, if you lasted through the previous paragraphs then I’m ready to share what can be a deal-breaker: I’m very active in my free time. Yes, I can totally snuggle on a couch to watch a movie, play a board game, talk and drink wine, etc. However, you give me the green light I will have us somewhere in nature under a full moon with that glass of wine! I don’t need you to be like me but to at least understand that some of us are physically driven, especially toward outdoor sports. Since I was very young I have been passionate about some action sport, including learning new ones. Maybe you can introduce me to something or we can find something in common to physically challenge ourselves. It is important to me that you eat healthy(ish) and are relatively fit. Enough said.
A couple other random notes: I'm a parent to two teens; one just started college and the other with one more year of high school. My daughter and my mother have taught me the most of how to love and understand women, but I have had many wonderful coaches through the years. I'm still close to my ex and value the positive relationship we were able to retain post-divorce. I respect most parents who prioritize their children before all else. I work with kids and believe they deserve to be our (adults) priority. I don't want more children but truly enjoy being around them. If you have a motorcycle or enjoy riding on the back, that is a plus.
