Date people from El Dorado Hills, United States. I value my downtime and enjoy spending it savouring the beauty of life all around me and exploring off-beaten paths and less-travelled roads or waters...
For my creative outlet, I keep myself busy with one of my many home-improvement and/or woodworking projects, my never-ending endeavours, or dabbling with photography. I could be involved with my volunteering activity (will tell you later)...
At home, in my downtime, I could be seen lazing-around in the company of my cats: fussing over them like a mother, mediating feline territorial disputes, keeping my cats from being molested by our neighbouring bullies/predators (dogs, bigger cats and coyotes), protecting the slow eating cat(s) from other food-bullying kitties, nursing sick cat(s), looking for missing ("well hidden") kittens, bonding with them, keeping them in line with the help of the older kitties and arbitrating cat wrestling matches... And spending some meditating time riding my bike along the American River Bike Trail to stay in shape for XC skiing during Winter...
As for travelling, things have been mainly local and domestic for the last couple of years; however, plan still in the works for France (finally, Fall 2012) and Denmark, and the "Lands Down Under" sometime in the near future, revisiting my old stomping grounds to see how much things have changed since I have come to the States and, of course, the relatives (French, Danes, Aussies, and Kiwis).
As for what I want to do with a 2-week vacation, it changes per my mood: from staying home working on my woodworking projects, to hopping on the road for destination unknown in some general direction, to hanging out on some ocean side venue(s), listening to the waves, to the mountains for the clean air and much needed respite from civilization, or some intercontinental travel. Yes, however, when I was away for more than 2 weeks, one of my cats went on a long walkabout and has not yet returned, so 2 weeks is my limit (pretty much absolute!) unless the I manage to drag the cattery along (doable with 2, don't know 'bout the whole brood! Too many to herd/drove around!)...
ME: I am a non-conformist, kindhearted, giving and caring (may be to a fault!) with right person...
YOU: a kindhearted, down-to-earth, and intelligent woman. Someone to share the good time and to help weather the bad time. Someone willing to wander off the norm with me, and to become the best friend to me and my feline buddies and possibly a dog (since I'm tired of having deers ransacking through my garden! No, the thought of shooting them deers never crosses my mind, though! Yes, I want to grow vegetables again in my garden! And yes, I still have Bambies [i.e. deers] taking refuge in my yard!)...
Update: 2 Kittens just joined the gang, so I have to minimize running the big machines for a while... They've adopted the other cats as their sisters and have leaned to wrestle without growling or hissing, as in "I don't need your help! I can take care of myself!" The older of the 2 kittens has stepped into the roll of "back-up alarm clock," vacated by the last calico matriarch who passed away in 2010 mid-Winter. After having spent time providing terminal care for my Mother in during Spring 2010 and having high-income jobs, I've decided on a change in life course: rebalancing and starting a new chapter, perhaps more time to work on paving the path to my own happiness, not so much of "me time," but companionship for the life adventure...
Meet a soulmate from El Dorado Hills, United States. There are many things I like to do to keep active like playing sports such as golf, basketball & volleyball. If I have time, when possible, I like to go to the local performing arts theater and watch a play or music event. And of course, the local movie theater for the latest feature. I enjoy spending time with family, friends and laughing out loud over silly things we say or do. What I'm looking for in a relationship, is someone who enjoys the same things, with some qualities and interests of their own to share with me. And she is thoughtful, kind and passionate about those things she cares about.
Date someone special from El Dorado Hills, United States. Easy going, good sense of humor looking for the same. You'll enjoy jeans and a t-shirt, but like to dress on occassion. Let's grab a beer and see what we have in common. Let's start by going slow, not trying to make anything happen that isn't natural. If it doesn't come easy, it's not meant to be.
Meet single man from El Dorado Hills, United States. I've led an eclectic life and worn many hats--from elementary school teacher, guitar-maker's apprentice, construction worker, massage therapist, osteopathic medical student, and now family medicine resident. My training ends in 2012, and I would love to find a partner to join me and share a future together.
I'm introspective, thoughtful, analytical, and an empathetic listener. My sister says I am a warm and gentle soul. A philosopher at heart, I hold honesty, loyalty, and integrity in high regard.
I'm a Progressive with idealistic dreams, but I like to think chivalry is not dead. I will decry the state of the world while at the same time open your door. I'm a big fan of manners. I use my turn signal. I won't use my cell phone when it's dangerous or rude to do so. I'll tell you when I think you look pretty and tell others when their behavior is a leftover from the Stone Age.
My family is very important to me, and I am the proud uncle of a beautiful niece. Around my close circle of friends or a more intimate group, my dry and sometimes wacky sense of humor comes out, along with my more outgoing side. I love connecting with the world around me and respect the life that's in it. For those kindred souls who have ever had their head examined, I am an INTJ according to Keirsey and Bates-- for what it's worth!
I have been an avid blues fan since college, and I see live blues any chance I get. You get extra credit if you know Elmore James from Muddy Waters. Even better is live music after a romantic dinner of great food and great wine. My life is balanced by physical activity as often as possible. I love tennis and have played for years.
My match doesn't have to do any or all of these things, just be open to the trials and tribulations of life with a resident physician. It's all about chemistry. If anything about me catches your eye, let's chat. Maybe over coffee or drinks? Thanks for reading
Date a woman from El Dorado Hills, United States. "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade" I love that expression, even if it does sound so cliche. You have to make the best of your life and look on the bright side when ever possible, because you never know what life will hand you. Life is too short for drama and problems, get over it and move on before it drives you crazy.
Why does this remind me of a job interview? I do find it difficult to describe myself but here goes. I tend to be shy and quiet at first but then open up once I get to know the person. I am an optimist but also a realist. I would describe myself as sexy and classy like the "girl next door". I am open and honest and expect the same from my ideal man. I don't like games and drama. I am easy going and try not to let things bother me. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt in most situations. I believe most people are good and will do the right thing. I am really looking for someone who is serious about finding that special person. Someone who is emotionally available and over their past relationships. No flakes please!
I recently relocated from the Bay Area to the Sac area. I am looking for someone in the Sacramento CA area. Long distance relationships are too difficult. I would love to meet someone to show me around the area and experience some new things. I would love to try white water rafting, for example.
I love to travel when I can, exploring new places and trying new things.
I am looking for an open, honest guy who is kind, fun and knows how to treat a lady. Are you that guy?
