Date someone special from California, United States. Well, ok, writing these things is a little bit strange, but here goes (in no particular order). I like to be spontaneous. Most people would say I'm a flirt. My friends have described me as feisty, fun, passionate, affectionate, literate, whimsical... eclectic. I was raised on a farm (really), but have lived in SF since just after college and I'm a 6th generation Californian. I like to get in the car... go for a hike... see where we end up. My idea of a fabulous date is going somewhere new or doing something I've never done before.
And ok, the physical stuff (because everyone looks at the pix before writing, yes?) The list for "body type" doesn't have the right option to describe me. I'm fit AND curvy. I picked "curvy" on the list because it seems the closest option. I think physical activity is the best way to make any day better (any kind, preferably outdoors, especially if it involves water). I wish I were taller (so I compensate with high heels). Match dates tell me that I'm one if the few women on this site that actually looks better than my pictures (what's with the inaccurate pix thing btw? It's not like you can get away with that for long)
I'm really social, like to throw dinner parties for friends with great wine and making great food... I'm passionate about my work and my life so I know when to turn the smartphone off. I love silliness and absurdity. Serendipity is my favorite word. My fabulous, smart, and funny daughter is the best part of my life. And I have a big extended family that I adore and we get together all the time.
I'm looking for... Someone who's interested in lots of things- books, design, music, travel, sports, science, politics, history- anything, and everything. A gentleman... Old fashioned courtesy is sexy. And so is a man who respects a woman that can take care of herself, but loves hearing he's my hero for taking care of me a little (and loves it even more when I return the favor). I'm not high maintenance, but the occasional sweet note left in my pocket or unexpected flowers will get you just about anything you want. While I'm not religious, I really do thank God every time I hear the words "President Obama." And while I generally take a lighthearted approach to life, online dating, even this profile, I am deeply serious about finding love.

My 'perfect match' is a fairly ridiculous statement, as I think dating is a variable that is dependent on outside forces, such as timing. However, if I were to describe someone that I think I would like to date, I would say they would be funny, intelligent, athletic, or at least interested in sports and fitness, interested in good food and exploring the flavors and origins of any region or country, someone who perceives spirituality, though does not necessarily have to be religious. It is also important that this person is aware of current affairs and has an interest in global issues/politics. For me attractiveness is a vague term that is at the mercy of one's perception. Thankfully, I don't subscribe to a concrete list of attractive features, but rather, find what is uniquely attractive about each person on an individual basis.
