Having the sense of humor of a fourth-grade boy and getting good laughs for my lacking a filter. Jumping on a quick flight down to San Diego to visit my family. The high of getting a new customer. Hiking Steep Ravine while catching up with friends. Sleeping in. My 15-step morning commute from my bed to my office and enviable work-life balance. The discovery of another special lake to backpack into at Desolation Wilderness. The time and money to travel worldwide (I’ve explored all over: Australia, Turkey, Bali, Thailand, Mexico, Ecuador and most of Europe.) A golf cart full of ice cold beer to share with friends and an easy 9-hole golf course. A deep stretch at yoga. Devouring a great book. A competitive Scrabble game. Gobbling up all the new and interesting restaurants in San Francisco. A Willie Nelson concert at the Fillmore.

I moved to San Francisco last summer to pursue a passion of mine and I am getting my MFA in Photography. So, when I'm not in school or studying I fill my time with exploring San Francisco and all it has to offer. I love to head out to a great meal in town - so many places yet to go! I get out with my camera and explore in the city or go on local road trips to see what is up and down the coast or off the beaten path. I love that there is so much nature so close to the city - easy hikes, wildlife and ocean within a quick drive. In the city, I enjoy getting out to museums and galleries. I've been to one concert so far and would love to see more. Just went to my first Giants game, too. Otherwise, when I'm chilling at home my time is spent with music and reading (lots of reading for school!). I do sneak in a few favorite tv shows. Also, I've been spending a lot more time in the kitchen and am having fun teaching myself how to cook beyond the basics. This means I am now a regular at the farmer's market as I try to figure out what to cook for the week. I'm relatively well-rounded as far as interests go and am wide open to sharing some new ones. I would love to meet someone who likes to explore and has an adventurous spirit.
I have a wonderful family and great friends. I am close to my family, though I see them sporadically. These days I get to see them on skype quite a bit - a great way to keep in touch. When in person, my brother and I tease each other till the other gives in with a 'you win' high five, my Mom and I swap books, and I listen to my Dad when he wants to teach me something about how things work (he's an engineer). My friends and I are almost always up for an impromptu get together filled with stories, laughter, and a drink or two. My time spent with family and friends is what I love most about my life. Talking about everything and nothing and just enjoying each others' company. Luckily, I have already made a small group of friends in the city, which is making the transition to a new city easy. Though there's always room for more!
As far as my personality goes - I'm pretty easy going, open minded, emotionally and otherwise intelligent, very affectionate, and have a positive take on things.
