Date someone special from California, United States. Who am I? I'm a very open, hard working, educated, funny, good listener, loyal, father of two amazing kids. I love to laugh and seeing a smile on someone's face goes a long way. Life happens fast and not always how you expect, but if you can learn to find that silver lining and laugh at yourself and your mistakes things will be just fine.
I don't seem to go to the right places to meet that special someone. I'm not sure where exactly that is either.
Recently, I have taken the time to start enjoying the views and sunsets. It's not a bad way to spend a quiet night, especially when you can hang with a couple buds. Light with lime. Not my first choice, but it's what I have in the fridge at the moment. I am not a big drinker but I enjoy happy hour with a friend. Sundried Tomatoes in San Clemente is a favorite spot of ours.
I grew up in the midwest, Missouri, and have lived out in the OC since 1998. I barely remember life before living in Cali, but it was a good life. Cold and humid, but good! :)
So what do I like to do... Working seem to supersede everything lately. I enjoy playing golf, working out, bike riding, playing with the kids, and hanging with friends chilling or watching a game over a couple brews.
Being a midwesterner by nature I can talk to almost anyone about anything. Communication, humor, honesty, and a willingness to grow as a person are keys to any relationship.
Always continue learning and trying to better myself. I am not perfect by any stretch, but I am not one to pass judgment on others either. I am a christian, but I'm by no means a fanatic and I fall short daily.

I have a quirky sense of humor, but am very quick, and a bit sarcastic. I read a lot, so I usually have good "current" materials, and also am comfortable in most any crowd. I manage a golf course, and recently started my own management company, so I'm busy at work, but it's a lot of fun.
I adopted a dog last summer (see photos above, haha, he's a "lab mix") and he takes me for a walk every day. We (the dog and I) live near the beach trail in San Clemente, so it's nice, great way to end the day, watching the sunset with my best friend. He's maybe not the brightest dog, (or maybe it's my training?) but he is a great dog, and despite his intimidating look, and ferocious bark, he's more likely to lick you to death.
I have a big family, and am very close to all of them. One of my nephews got me to play hockey with him in a league, (I played when I was in college) and we have a great time doing that. We also are working on restoring a 1969 Chevelle together.
I enjoy most outdoor activities, volleyball, golf, tennis, inline hockey, riding my bike, kayaking, and my motorcycle...
I'm a good cook, but usually stick to doing BBQ meals, it's less work and cleanup.
Anything else, you'll have to ask, I have a wide variety of interests.

As a transplant, that is important, knowing hat my career will keep me here or Hawaii in the future. I live @ the beach in San Clemente, and could not live in a more desirable location. I love it, footsteps to the beach, the ONLY way to live! I have lived in LA (I loveee LA!) and San Diego,and enjoy traveling to those places for concerts and seeing good friends I have made along the way.I travel often, and look forward to travelling to Europe, its long overdue!

I guess in general, I am looking for someone who enjoys California's beautiful days, as well as fun nights! I have lived in a few different states, and California has them ALL beat!
I love sports, play in two softball leagues, took up Yoga last year, and enjoy the surf most of all! Meet single man from California, United States. I'm honest to a fault. I love my two kids more than I ever thought possible...but I don't expect anyone else to as much as I do. It would be a big plus, though. I love laughing, but not as much as making others laugh - I can be a complete goofball or witty and sarcastic, depending on the day. I enjoy tinkering with things. I think material belongings are temporary ways to fill voids in our lives. As such, I'm not wealthy in a financial sense, nor do I ever wish to be. If you're looking for someone to shower you with extravagance, I'm not your guy. If you want to laugh every day and feel loved, however, then I just might be. I just read "The Purpose Driven Life" and found a good portion of it very worthwhile. I've always tried to give back to the community, and think more people should. I constantly question why I was born where I was - and not somewhere else. Especially after watching the news sometimes. I'm terrified of rollercoasters. I'm very affectionate (not a Mr. Grabby-pants, but I do like holding hands, hugs, deep & meaningful kisses, and generally acting much younger than I am...at least with that special someone). I don't text too much, but love technology otherwise. I can wire a new ceiling fan, upgrade your computer's memory, or change your car's brakes. Sexy, huh? Yeah, not so much. But handy! I love movies with a twist...like Memento or Shawshank Redemption. Will Ferrell and Tina Fey are hilarious. I'm not so much into watching sports, but relationships are about compromises, aren't they? : ). Life is good...I just want to share it with someone special. Grow old together. Princess Bride-stuff...happily ever after, maybe a bit cheesy, but true.
Update1: regarding the separation - it's been over two years, paperwork is filed. Just waiting for a job w/ benefits to come through for my ex before making it final. I won't leave her without medical insurance - not after the sacrifices (her career) she made for me during marriage. It is a very amicable situation, we've chosen to behave like adults because our two kids deserve that.

Meet people from San Clemente, United States. So hard talking about yourself....so i will try to put this as simple and to the point as I can. I have been divorced 14 years, I have a blast with my kids, absolutely love and adore kids, as I think I have got to experience so much in life and find out who I am through them. And of course, wouldn't realize what a REAL getaway, relaxing vacation felt like to the fullest without them. Bringing me too...I love adventure, i love to try new things. I have had a great life.....and now I have the BEST life! Decided Jan. 2012 to pick a spot on the map and try a new adventure, so here I am in Southern California. I always spent my life learning how to balance work, kids, hobbies, animals, etc...thought I was awesome at it....and NOW? I wonder what in the world I was trying to do. My life is now simple...i absolutely "HAVE THE LIFE". So with that said...I want whoever it is looking for their soul mate to understand who I am today, so If I don't fit that person, I don't waste any of your time in your search.
I know this will not last forever (as it is not practical in todays world), but hope it tells you something about me...and if you can tolerate me :) lol. I have no vehicle, I do not want one. Think I may have to invest in a scooter or electric bike, but that is to get me up some of these hills in San clemente. I spend my mornings going on a quick run on the beach, than run the many stairs of San clemente. I spend alot of time at the beach, as we are a block away, so convenient. I like to read and people watch. Like to paddle board, bike ride, hike, tennis, Beach fires (new thing), BBQ with friends, go out for nice dinner, glass of wine and listen to music. I enjoy Networking, getting involved in the community and volunteering.
My home is my peace and tranquility. I love to keep my home cozy and I am true believer that "The kitchen is the heart of the home". I spend ALOT of time there, as i love to cook. New thing for me...and loving it! use to buy in bulk at sams/costco, now in CA, I walk up to the market everyday and buy fresh vegtable and fish or meat for dinner. I enjoy the Gluten free store up the street as well. Every Sunday the street is lined with a market, fresh EVERYTHING, flowers, lots of people....I love it! we shop there every sunday for our dinner. So with this said, I am going to try hard to keep this life style...as I LOVE IT!
I did sell my horses, as that is what i miss the most.....but will have one soon at a local stable.....not sure I can go much longer without one, miss the stable and the people!
I am told that I am genuine, have a warm heart, and easy to talk to. I have been in sales all my life....so i am a good persuader (SO BEWARE) lol I know i am an awesome mom, a great friend, and I really am looking for someone to swipe me off my feet. I believe in chemistry and than giving yourself the chance to fall in love. I think one falls truly in love once or twice in a lifetime, so it does take a few bodies to cross your path. I like it when one knows that the Love connection is not there, yet, finding a new friend was just as special. I like learning new things from the people I meet....

I do work out, run, hike, power walk, do yoga.. etc. I love beaches, mountains, and woods. I am very handy and I love finding best solutions... I guess that could be considered creativity? :)
I am very kind and polite, but I am not a people pleaser. I am a very peaceful person - it is hard to make me mad and I do not keep anything inside. I do prefer to talk when something is not working for me.
I have a little girl that is so incredible! I love her to the fullest and she will always be my priority. Unless of course I have another child, then they both will be my priority. :) I am a devoted and loving mother - I so enjoy it. Having said that, I do have room for a loving man in my life.
I invision someone who is kind, good hearted, gentle and yet firm and strong when it is called for. A family man; someone who cares about his family and loves spending time with his wife and children. Someone who is intelligent, loves to travel, and is openminded.. If you are handy, we could have so much fun building or creating things! :) But this is not a must.

My close friend asked me if she could write my description, so I thought I'd let her, because she knows me better than anyone.
I have been close to Nikki for almost 20 years. I have been inspired by her passion for life, family, friends, love, food, wine and music since the day we met. She is someone that you just want to be around. When you are around her, you feel special, because she loves to express herself through taking care of those around her. If you ever have an opportunity for her to cook for you, it is an experience that you would not want to pass up! She can turn whatever you have in your fridge into a masterpiece. I was lucky to be her roommate for several years, and I am still in awe of her creativity (especially at 2:00 AM).
