I am pretty high energy, but I also crave moments of stillness and serenity - so much so, that I wake nearly every morning at an ungodly hour so that I can exercise and meditate before the demands of the day kick in.
Humor is really important to me (particularly quick-witted banter), and I love both laughing and making others laugh. I love dressing up and going out for great food, arts and film, and music, but I also love watching a British comedy or HBO drama at home on the couch with nibbles and a glass of wine, and someone to share them with. I love to travel and would like to return to it after a kid-related hiatus.
I was the first child in my family to go to college, and I am really proud of that. I am pretty self sufficient and independent in most ways, and would enjoy spending time with someone who also gets the Jack Donaghy jokes on 30 Rock (and finds them funny!). So, in short, balance is key: work, home, kids, activity, stillness, humor, compassion, health, and indulgence. All of these together make me the happy, healthy, loving person I am.
