Date a soulmate from California, United States. Well, it's been a year since I started this process and "what a long strange trip it's been"! I realize that my perceptions about what I wanted and expected, so soon after the breakup of a 19 year marriage were slightly colored by the idea of being free, as well as the thought that I just HAD to find a replacement ASAP.
So I created this Novel and while I was as sincere and honest as I knew how to be, I understand now how much of it was premature.
So, I'm not going write a book again, but just try to boil this down to some basic ideas and insight into who I am.
Successful is a relative term. Yes, business wise you could say I am. In Love obviously not. I've been fortunate to work in fields that have always been exciting and ever changing.
Aviation and Music.
My 37 year old Aircraft company continues to produce while music has been boiled down to a hobby. I've played Bass since the early 60s and continue. Now with a 9 pc R B Soul Act which allows me to keep my chops up.
Flying is and always has been a passion. Motorcycle riding since my youth. Boating most of my life.
I have a wonderful home in a private beautiful setting in which I love to entertain as well as renew my spirit in.
Having toys and nice homes and things is fine but empty without my counterpart to share them with.
Im very active for a guy ANY age and most find it hard to keep up with me. Given that, my most cherished times are when we are alone and INTO each other. Just relaxing with some of Paso's great wines, reading, making a meal together, etc.

I believe that physical attraction is very important. Vital. I look, act, and think 25 years my junior. I want a woman whose face and heart entrance me and keep me entranced 24/7.
Pets: I know a lot of you have them. Been there, done it. My lifestyle needs to be free and unencumbered with having to "walk' the dogs" find sitters, pay for boarding. I have a couple of cats,. Outside. If your profile is full of Pet Piks I doubt we are going to be a match.
Our physical and sensual relationship is also vital. I want a woman who is comfortable in her own skin and that has taken care of herself, her skin AND her heart and mind. One who knows herself inside and out.

My marriage isnt fully dissolved due to large settlement issues but we are close. There is no question of reconciliation.

I have two teen aged girls 16/17 who spend most of their time with their mother but come first in everything. It wont be long and they will be on their own. Ive experienced supreme tragedy in my life and have emerged stronger and ready to start anew.

Meet a man from California, United States. i have never been good at making a case for myself. As Winston Churchill said of a contemporary, (but could be applied to me) "He is a humble man and he has a lot to be humble about". So this should be short and sweet.
i was a jock/nerd, which means i'm not running marathons any more, nor am i designing electronic instruments, but i have found other activities to maintain my interests. Gardening, hiking, refurbishing my house, and golf keep my blood flowing. To keep my neurons firing i am tutoring my son in math and science, and repairing electronic equipment at work.
i'm in excellent shape (6' 0", 165 lbs., 54 resting pulse, low b.p., taking no meds.) The photos were taken in October and December of 2010, and the 2 with my daughter in June 2009. The woman i am looking for is in great shape. She will be able to take moderate hikes or bike rides. We can do team cooking and gather veggies from my garden. If the weather is nice, there is dining al fresco on my deck, where the view stretches out to Shandon.
The best way for me to describe my personality is that most animals instantly trust me and want my attention. They usually let me pet them. Several times an injured animal has come to my place to rest and recoup. Another way my personality can be objectively measured is that if i am standing in a queue and someone wants to get through to the other side they usually break through in front of me. i think it is because i am perceived as a kind and courteous person. i grin more than smile, but i am a happy person.
i don't take myself too seriously and love to have fun. If you went with me on a golf course you would frequently hear, "What's the worst that can happen?" Then i would proceed to make my worst nightmares come true. "Got sand?"
i am grateful for all i have had in my life, and have always felt one should give back to the community. Being a liberal i live by the motto "To whom much is given, much will be required". i was in the Peace Corp in Ecuador after i got my BSEE (i later got my MSEE). i am active in trying to get single payer health care established in California. This April i participated for the first time in a Habitat for Humanity Project.
OK you have read this far and said to yourself, "This guy is perfect, except for his looks, age, location, income, politics, and agnosticism." However there is one more thing:. i don't/can't dance. There is not one rhythmic bone in my body and i am self-conscious about looking clumsy. i know the majority of the winners on Dances With the Stars have been athletes, but that gene has never been in my DNA. The best i can offer is a slow dance (mostly swaying) in your living room or mine, with no one around (that would be nice). i would have no problem with you going off to dance with men or women friends. i am not a big fan of loud music or crowds..... Sorry. .
