Date single man from California, United States. I am not sure where to start. I am new to using the internet this way. I am sure you want to know something about me. I make films, documentaries and TV commercials etc. I own the 3rd oldest film and video production company in San Diego. I love my work, actually it is not work it is more like recess and play time every day.
In the process of doing this for a long time I have won many awards, including 31 EMMYs. I am comfortable in shorts and tee shirt or one of my Tuxes. But I love to do many other things as well. I (with my friends) make award winning red wine and restore old British racing cars. I love to travel and have been almost all over the world at one time or another. I love to cook and have mastered about 12 dishes to perfection! I haven’t gathered up the courage to bake yet. Maybe this year. I love plants and interior design. Right now I need help designing and building my new outdoor kitchen in the palapa I just built. I own a great acre on Mt. Helix, but it is sort of like Sanford and son’s TV show. More about that later.
I have been singIe for 8 or 9 years depending on when you start counting, and probably am the calmest, most honest, most gentle Type A person you will ever meet. I am likely the last monogamist man left in the western hemisphere. I am a touchy-feely kind of a creative person and love to hang out with someone who is like that. No pressure and no extra baggage that doesn't fit into the overhead storage. Notice, I am leaving out the normal stuff:every woman wants, “sunset walks on the beach, fine dining, good wine, cuddling on the sofa for a movie, popcorn, and puppy dogs!" I might like that stuff too, but I just don't want to say it out loud! I just want to leave the door open for burgers at my favorite dive bar, sometimes drinking bad wine, and cuddling on a sofa with out a movie! I am a Leo. (“There are only two kinds of people, Leo’s and those who wish they were leo’s!) Make what you will out of that! LOL
My favorite thing to hear…….”Honey, I’m home!” My least favorite thing to hear, “BOB, WE have to talk!” I would rather eat worms. One of my favorite places to go is Baja, but lately it is so scary I don’t go very often. Bummer! I am posting some photos. Some of them are older and some are new. I am not posting the old photos so I will look younger, they all look like me, it is because I like the pictures. I have been working very hard at taking off weight, (28 lbs and counting) and even though it is very hard, I am very serious about it. "Carbs are not my friend." Everyone thinks I am younger than I am (don't we all say that?) and someone chided me into typing in that I am 62, not because I wanted to decieve, but that is around the age people think I am. But...... and it is big butt,........ I am older than that but now I have tried to change that and Match.com won't let me edit it. I will tell you the truth when we meet, if you still want to meet me and find out for your self. I am a very honest person, really. I have put in my request that I am looking for a woman between 55 and 65, and I am age appropriate for that age range, IMHO!
When looking for a mate, we all have things we like, things we don't like, and things we can put up with to some degree, and also some “deal breakers” and if you are interested, we should talk and see what happens. But this is what is true, none of the above matters if there is not some "chemistry" or "magic" ..... and sharing a cup of coffee or a glass of wine is the only way to see if it "works". I give lots of extra bonus points for a night person and also for a person who is not afraid to get their hands dirty having fun.

My ultimate goal here is that I am looking to find the last partner/best friend to share the rest of my life. I am in no rush. It is all good!

Meet a man from California, United States. I've been separated for 3 years and am in the process of divorcing. It took this lengh of time for me to unravel the affairs of a long marriage in a way that leaves me with a clear conscience. Now that I have dealt with these details, I can wait no longer. I'm a surfer, enjoy bike riding, skiing and tennis(I'm not that good), an avid movie goer and music lover. I like the President, and enjoy life the most when the person who is leadiing us can walk and chew gum at the same time. I am happy about things and life in general.
I am very resourceful and have gone through life depending on myself. I am not a blamer nor do I look back and think I should have gone another way. I thought about almost all of it before I set my course. Though my path was never aiming for riches, I have always had enough in all ways. I am pleased with who I am and think I am instantly liked by all except for the far right amongst us.
I have moderated my political side in my later years realizing I not gained even a single yard with those that see things differently. I try to avoid subjects that look as though they may cause unease in others. It is difficult because being a daily reader of the printed news as well as televised national and world news I have formed opinions that many times conflict with the headline grabbing snippets. Sadly I have found that most think keeping up on the lastest accuasations and mudslinging is enough; most being too busy to look into the details of what they talk about in such strident terms. It is difficult, but I continue to believe the educational community has the best answers. Sometimes the wisdom that guides my life comes from the most unlikely of people such as the late Rodney King.
I am a hard worker, artistic, and somewhat of a man's man. I'm straight forward, don't like wasting people's time, and loyal to all, and nicer than I have to be to almost everyone. I clean up nicely and don't have to keep my hair long if it bothers you. I want you to see me as your Knight, less the shining armor, and will do my best to be that.
I have sailed through life on my own terms and have lived a life worth living. Many would say I chose the hard way. For me it's the only way, and I'd like to share it with a similar soul. I'll hold you tight and treat you better than I treat myself, especially if times get tough. I've cut through these times like melting butter, being a decent soul, not a pusher and a shover. I need someone that values these traits, has similar views, and inspires me to be a good man. I'm not looking for the easiest path in life, I want to continue as I have and be ready to adopt and adapt to ways that make me and those I know and don't know better humans. I want to continue to pull not only my own weight but pull for those that cannot pull or cannot pull in enough. Sometimes the result is that I have helped those who are undeserving. I cannot let this sway me from the good fight.
