That seems to be the question I ask when attempting to compose a short autobiography for my profile. It's not a matter of writing something that catches the interest of many, but rather something that catches the interest of one. That one who can feel as comfortable with me as I would with her. I feel a good connection is not with two who have everything in common. In fact, having different interest to share can create spice and variety we would otherwise miss. I'm troubled with the idea of deciding on which adjectives to list as an attempt to describe who I am. It makes me think of the world's worst job interview question "what are you weaknesses?". Some things are just never answered very well in first person. I think the person I would like to meet would be someone who would have the intuition, curiosity and sense of adventure to meet me for a cup of coffee, bypassing the long email exchanges (something that rarely works up to happy endings).
I have taken the time to read many profiles and have found some very common ground with most. The most consistent quality that rings out is honesty. Unfortunately, too many of us have experienced relationships of otherwise. Ironically, so many describe themselves as honest (Like the guy you met last week who's appearance didn't quite live up to the GQ photos posted). I will not attempt to convince anyone here of my honesty and integrity; I believe action speaks louder than words. Sense of humor is another big one. That one, I will have to say is very subjective. When someone makes you laugh, I call that chemistry at work. So here’s to hoping I make you laugh.
