Meet people from California, United States. I was born and raised about two hours east of San Francisco. After college, which included an eight month internship in San Jose, I worked two years in West Texas, then moved to Orange County and have been here since.
I’ve changed hobbies/activities over the years, not because of declined interest, but because there’s only twenty four hours per day. I used to sail with a friend to Catalina about a dozen times every summer for four years. When I owned a house in Laguna Beach I did SCUBA twice a week for five years. Night dives are the best. When I owned a place in Newport Beach I paddled my young nieces and nephews around Newport Harbor in my sixteen foot kayak. I also enjoyed Dana Point Harbor and Huntington Harbour a few times. The open ocean is too rough for me in any kayak. In ’95 I started cycling about forty miles every Saturday. I purchased a very good bike in ’03 and now cycle three times a week at twenty miles each. My preferred cycling routes are either round trip of Seal Beach pier to Huntington Beach pier, or the entire north/south length of Huntington along the beach trail and/or PCH. On the four non-cycling mornings I either play tennis or hike the nearby bird sanctuary and/or beach sand. I prefer outdoor activities in the early mornings when sunburn isn’t an issue and I don’t need that goopy sunscreen. I like gray days because I can stay out longer without sunscreen. I love the rain even when it fouls up all these regular activities.
I suppose a man not answering the income question is the equivalent of a woman not posting pictures. However, some of us don’t care to receive a lot of IMs from Miami and Russia. Since it is reasonable that some answer be given, let us say that somewhere in our forties, assets become more important than income. I felt I had sufficient assets to retire last year (2011).

We do everything together: surf, camp, hike, ride motorcycles, play soccer, play baseball, hike, see movies, ride go carts and have fun.
I am an excellent cook and can prepare a simple meal for one to a Beef Palace prime rib dinner for twenty. Having grown up in Hawaii eating fresh sashimi and poki, I love sushi.
