Date a soulmate from Crestline, United States. I find it difficult to describe myself. Maybe I'll start with what I do -- I teach and care intensely about the "kids" (though they're really young adults at a private college). I write poetry in another language besides English (I don't know -- it kinda works for me) and other 'stuff' in English. I read a lot -- I have a bad habit of buying books. A lot of books. If I had the time, I'd work out more -- until a few years ago I wrestled (the 'real' amateur wrestling) and would love to try some judo (not as strenuous or as hard on the knees) -- but priorities are priorities and just can't do it these days. I'm a bit of a homebody until I make myself get out of the house, and then I have a great time. Stories about people's struggles against oppression or extraordinary challenges move me to tears, almost (maybe I'm a bit of a sentimental slob), but at the same time, I've seen enough of the underbelly of life to not have any illusions about how things really are. What makes me laugh? A lot of things, but English comedy, especially.
What I'm looking for? Somebody who's engaging and has a sense of humor. Somebody who has wide interests and a bit of enthusiasm about life and ideas. Somebody who is compassionate and kind.
