I will spend a week exploring the gorgeous sub-Alpine forests, lakes and meadows in Eastern Yosemite during the fleeting high elevation summer with some friends again this year. I was once an avid SCUBA diver and have enjoyed dive travel - there's nothing quite like a beautiful tropical island surrounded by warm, sparkling crystal clear water! I wouldn't mind revisiting that hobby, or learning to surf or finding another way to connect with the ocean. I've done volunteer work on marine ecology issues as well as social issues; I am passionate about doing something that helps people or makes the world a better place. I have a diverse music collection that excludes rap and opera: Cowboy Junkies, The Mother Hips, John Prine, Jackie Greene and several other singer-songwriters, John Hammond (blues), Patricia Barber, classic rock, reggae and jazz; some folk, bluegrass and classical. I enjoy learning to play songs on the guitar in my spare time.

I guess i would call myself "somewhere in the middle" I am not a brainiac but I do love to read, and am constantly learning - I stay in shape - i like to run 3 or 4 half marathons a year, but then i off set that healthiness by enjoying too much good wine and the occasional cheeseburger and fries. I listen to Country music most of the time. I also like classic rock, folk and other varieties. I recently have taken a liking to classical music and concerts because my daughter plays the French Horn and introduced me. I am a newbie at it but have found it very inspiring. I try to go to a concert once a month in the season.

I'm VERY young at heart - to me, age is just a number, I'm "feisty" as my mom calls me, a lot of fun and have a great sense of humor. I'm outgoing and love joking around and being "goofy".
(Not that I don't have a serious side, because I certainly do!)
I have a 20 year old son that lives on his own and a 16 year old daughter that still lives with me, but is hardly ever home.
