I am a golfer, and it would be great to meet someone to play golf with. I like going to outdoor summer concerts in the Bay Area, as well as the Grass Valley World Music Festivals and mountain concerts up in Murphys. I enjoy relaxing and watching sporting events either live or on TV (tennis, golf, and the 49ers). I've done a lot of traveling over the years around the U.S. as well as to a variety of countries. Being a teacher, I'm very fortunate to have summer vacations that make such travel possible. I also have my canine friend, Toby, who is an awful lot of fun. We "think" he's an Australian cattle dog/pit mix. He is incredibly smart, full of personality, and an absolute sweetheart!
As for how I would describe myself....... I'm compassionate towards both people and animals. I feel I'm a thoughtful, supportive friend and partner. I enjoy a good sense of humor. Once I'm in a trusting friendship or relationship, I share myself freely and openly. I'm always open to trying new things and experiences. In fact, I seek these!! It's what keeps life fresh and unpredictable!! I find that after even a simple little day trip, I return home a bit more rejuvenated for the work week. On the other hand, I also need and value some "down" time including just having a relaxing fun time with friends, family, and/or a special someone at my cozy house and yard.....have some dinner, play a game, and enjoy wide-ranging conversation. As I move into my 50s, I'm thinking more and more about how to truly take advantage of my summer breaks and perhaps spend those 2 months somewhere where the lifestyle, daily routine, and surroundings are different from what is usual for me. From time to time I get a brief taste of that and feel I'd like more than a quick taste of it. Is this an idea that appeals to you? Most people don't have the time off of work to do something like this, but if the "idea" appeals to you anyway, that alone shows some compatibility between you and me........
