Date single man from United States. So, who am I?
First and foremost I am not a rational per se. Some kind of a 21st century renaissance type of guy. Yes, one can say sentimental or driven by his sentiments (you pick).
Some traits? Nonchalant, sophisticated with a zest of cool, well-traveled, humorous (extra dry), open-minded, affectionate, accommodating, suave, plural, perceptive, sagacious and passionate when love shows up at the corner.
Should you be able to judge a book by its cover, please try read through my smile.
Photography, contemporary design, architecture, man-made achievements in all shapes or forms... those are the things that reconcile me with the human gender. My eyes play an important role in my existence. To the point that they often dictate my choices.
My sons too are uplifting and essential.
Professionally speaking, I work for a high-end furniture showroom and I Iove what I do. I also import artworks from Europe that I promote to art galleries. As I often say : "I sell things people don't need".
I am fortunate enough to have travelled in many places and I think I am not done. It is my hope to imprint my senses with the ambrosial flavors of countries such as Argentina or Cuba. For now, I am drawn into the linear charm and merry colors of Palm Springs. It reminds me of a mid-century era that has left without telling me.
I reside in San Diego for 12 years now but I am not your typical California “next door neighbor” (though I have two cars and two TV's). One of the reasons being that I was born and educated in this country famous for his daunting number of excellent cheeses and unfriendly waiters. I am everything SoCal is not, yet I call it home.
My musical portfolio is vast and eclectic, from Classical to Salsa, Lounge, Jazz and Dance (the last two styles being my current favorites). Lately started to take piano lessons (humbling).
Sundance, IFC, PBS, Discovery, Bravo, Travel, and CNN form the core of my TV evenings. Nothing new under the sun. When in your company, they may end up in a foot massage session.
Without any transition...You will see me on my way to a business meeting dressed in a suit and kneeling down in the middle of the street to pet a lost cat. On the other side of the spectrum, I despite spiders and imbeciles.
To summarize... You can call me a dilettante, just passing through the organized chaos of this life. That helps me to cope with its irony and to remain cordial, if not happy.
On a more relational and personal note, I am currently looking for someone I can connect with on a deeper level. A real partner with whom I would like to feel Love again. A descriptive list of qualities I would hope from you does not have to take place here. I would rather read those with my heart, in person.
I am better at giving than taking those days. That is to say plenty of affection mutated into passion for the right or left companion.
Some one with substance... and nice legs, please.
Meet a man from United States. I'm a free speech warrior and free range parent. I like to think I'm good at cutting through the noise. I love my son with my life, though once I was tempted to nominate him to succeed Kim Jong-il. Recently someone told me, "For a lawyer, you don't really dominate the conversation." I think it was a compliment.
I clean up nice when needed. If I'm not working or chasing my son, I'm doing the usual. I read when I can. I listen to eclectic music. I love good food but I don't obsess over it. I ditched my TV a few years ago and don't miss it. I like mountain biking and skiing but I don't fetishize exercise, or anything else for that matter. Despite the hype, I recently took up yoga. I'm still a raw beginner, but it's rapidly becoming indispensable to my sanity.
I'm not looking for perfection, physical or otherwise. I certainly can't deliver it. I believe in a few things: humor, because it keeps me going; honesty, because I can't live without it; respect, because we all deserve it; and compassion, because we're all in this together. If you can run with that, I'd love to hear from you.
