I love to laugh and usually have a way to make to make you smile or totally crack you up. My friends would describe me as a positive person who inspires them to do better and not complain about the losses in life but to focus on the good things we all have. Little things make me smile, like the look of wonder in a small child's eyes when they discover their shadow for the first time or the way a dog greets you when you have been away for even the briefest period. I smile when I have the sense of accomplishment or someone else gains even a small victory. I smile when someone truly appreciates me as a person. I believe we all need to feel validated and appreciated by those whose lives we touch and enrich. Having said that I can be sarcastic (just a little) playful, witty, teasing, and downright silly. I am also empathetic, serious about things that matter and find myself a little moody when I get tired or stressed. Usually, I just need a few quiet moments and then I am back on track. I love the outdoors and enjoy most outdoor activities. I enjoy playing with my golf buddies and socializing with friends. I love fly fishing, camping, hiking, and laughing while telling stories around a camp fire. I enjoy watching college football and going to a few auto races on the ovals. I watch golf on TV but only after it has been recorded so I can fast forward past the yuck. I don't watch many other sports on TV as I have lost interest in most of them. In fact, I don't watch a great deal of TV anymore as most of it is .... just not that good. I love the movies but I haven't been in quite awhile. I enjoy theater and live performance but will run away from loud noisy music and crowded and congested areas. I am looking for a partner who I can share the rest of my days with. You don't have to be perfect because I certainly am not. I have a list of flaws and I am sure you come with your own list. Some lists are shorter than others and some lists have easier things to deal with. I have never been a drug user, or heavy drinker. I do not have a criminal record of any type. I have had one speeding ticket and that's it. I don't think I would be a good fit for someone who is holding a lot of baggage. I have played sports and coached several basketball teams. I like working out but I am not currently in a regimented program right now although I just lost several pounds and in pretty good shape. I am spiritually grounded. I was a practicing Catholic for many years but right now I would consider myself spiritual but definitely not religious. I find the religions I have studied extensively over the past 3 decades have commonality but are not providing answers to many fundamental questions. Even so I believe in a higher spiritual plane of existence that we all enter back into after completing our tasks in this life. I want someone who wants to share those days with me.
