Date someone special from Eureka, United States. I am semi-retired now and moving on to doing more "fun stuff". I have traveled some to South America and I like the culture and customs of the latino people, and ready to do some more there and other places. My daughter once told me Americans (that would be citizens of the USA) are arrogant. She has done a lot ot traveling and seen many places. When she said that I laughed, but when I visited Costa Rica, Chile, and Argentina I realized she was right, at least ithe way I USED to think. Many people in those countries do not have much but they are happy. The families are very strong. Compare this to the USA where we may complain when the price of gas goes up a few cents. It was quite a reality check for me....
Had good luck quitting smoking for longggg periods (9 years once) and tossed them again today, although I won't change my profile until I know I'm done.
I am not looking real hard for someone and I figure if it's meant to be it'll happen. As do most people I had some baggage but filed it away as it doesn't help anything dwelling on the past, and hopefully we all learn from it. I learned a lot but some of it too late, but life goes on. The woman I meet will have the side of me that has always been below the surface. Like many men (I think) the show of love and affection is not easy. Too bad "we" think that way because most women want the cuddling, love and affection. I am ready to give it to the woman who lights my fire.
I am hoping to meet someone around my age, maybe for lunch or dinner, or just coffee or tea, and see where it goes from there. Sometimes things click, sometimes not...
