I love Mark Twain's philosophy and wit. A good sense of humor has helped me throughout life. My philosophy and strength come in part from having strong role models, my Dad was my hero. I love being around water. I volunteer at the Maritime Museum and on the Board of Cabrillo National Monument. I enjoy the beach and being in the mountains. I have fun at just about anything I am doing. I try new things like background acting in Pirates of the Caribbean 4, and even tried out for role with the San Diego Opera.

I have two wonderful kids - they're with me for a week then with their mom for a week. They are very important to me - family is important. I have a lot of great friends. I am interested in meeting your friends and hope you will be interested in mine. It's important to me that we each have time to do our own things. I don't expect you to climb 120' above the deck of the Star of India, and I am happy that you have friends to do things with. We find a good balance between you, me and us.
My friends say I am intelligent, funny, and down to earth. I don't take myself seriously, but believe in being sincere. I enjoy getting dirty working in the garden, or getting cleaned up for a great dinner out. It's OK if you don't like to cook, I do. But if you do cook, then we will have a lot of fun together. I bet you know some great places to eat, fancy ones, and perhaps the hole-in-the-walls that have character and good eats. I spent 3 years in Hawaii as a kid, and love sushi and the foods of the Pacific. A summer in Heidelberg and traveling the Continent added appreciation for the foods of many more cultures. I treat everyone with respect and courtesy - part of the Golden Rule. Everyone has a story and great conversations come from getting to know people. The same things apply in my career. My approach to people has been important to the success I have earned. My career is important, and I have the maturity to balance it with everything else. I am not into drama and don't bring work home. At work and in my personal life it's important to deal with things as they come, then put them away and move on. I look for this in you, the ability to work through things together. We may disagree and that's fine, as long as we respect each other's perspectives. Tolerance is important to me, as is giving back.
I love to travel - day trips and other continents too! I love photography and will share with you how it helps me see things in different ways. I am very active, love walking/running almost every night. I usually have some creative project under way, restoring antiques, blowing hot glass, working with wood. What projects are you working on?
